There was no one there when we arrived around 3pm to stay for the night. All though as soon as it got dark there were several cars that pulled up with telescopes to look at the stars. It was honestly so beautiful. We have Verizon and we had good enough service for me to do homework and my boyfriend to surf the web on his phone. Overall giving it a 4 star because the road was so horrible getting in… so washboarded we literally had to go like 3 mph so our RV didn’t shake apart hahahah

Road in is really bumpy. Large gravel lot that you can park pretty much anywhere in. Mostly one night campers pulling in. Semi crowded Saturday night, but Sunday it was just us and one other person. Peaceful, beautiful scenery. Only utility is a pit toilet. Pack out trash.

We had planned on staying at hog lake in the Fishtrap area, but the directions took us to a dead end. So we doubled back and found a BLM trailhead parking area just up from the entrance to the Folsom Farm site. The parking area was level and the cell coverage with verizon was 4 bars. There are actually sites at the Folsom Farms location. Although only two or three I would consider big rig friendly. There is also a vault toilet and a large parking loop to turn around. Some of the "Pull Through" sites were no more than an attempt to make a place to park. The interesting part was the Folsom Farm back drop.

When I do the math, this spot adds up to 5 stars:
Free + peaceful + 2 bars T-Mobile + easy access for the biggest rigs + close to I90. = beautiful view of the grasslands + clean. It’s not my favorite boondocking spot but I’ve got to give it 5 stars when you look at the entire package.

The road in is pretty terrible, and we were a bit confused on where to park. Its just a gravel parking area with a pit toilet. The lit toilet is closed because of covid-19, but they've brought in a porta potty for the time being. Not sure how that makes sense lol.
We were surprised to be the only ones to stay , but many locals came in the evening to use the shooting range near by. There was some train noise too, but not too loud.
Verizon speeds weren't great if you need to work, but it's fine to watch Netflix and browse. Ping was usually 200-300, down 7.5, up .5. We got way better speeds around 11 PM, but the average speeds weren't great.

There appeared to be a pit toilet (not sure if operational, we didnt use it) and a portapotty. We got here after dark. A vehicle was parked here but otherwise we were all alone. The road is terrible for the last mile, all washboard type surface. Literally down to a crawl to keep from rattling teeth, however it is wide and straight. Would be quick easy access from interstate but you gotta drive 3mph for last two miles. Verizon was weak but allowed me to write this review! Finally the “camping” sign on the freeway was covered with a CLOSED sign, cpl other places here too so we risked it and the gate for this site was open.

The road getting to the parking lot was pretty bumpy and has some pot holes. Though we were able to get our 21’ 5th wheel out there no problem. Just take it slow and most rigs should be able to make it!
Verizon signal is great and ATT is so-so but functional.
Would definitely come back again!

A solid stop for a quick stay. Appreciate that BLM maintains this land in an area where there aren’t a lot of good spots and almost none for Boondocking. Can’t comment on what there is to do like hiking or fishing as we just stayed briefly when we needed a place for one night near Spokane. Very clean toilet and very level ground. A bit of a boring spot but well kept and reliable. Road in is very rough.
