Spent 5 nights here over July 4th with friends in the area. Everything worked and everything was a good value. I’d stay again for sure.

Overall Rating
Small, level sites, staggered buddy sites. No fire pits( fire ban in area). Fire pits have been completely removed. Grass, gravel and trees. Self check in. Laundry room could use an update.One washer/dryer. $2.00 wash/$3.00 dry. The laundry is set up on an honor system. Pay at office lock box. Office was never open the 3 days we stayed... more

They have FHU's, picnic table, fire pit, and gravel sites. The sites are back-to-back, so you share a green space with your neighbor. The bathrooms looked nice but didn't use them. The site was easy to level up in. We had trouble keeping our fire going, maybe lack of O2 to fire. This is a good place for a short visit to Valentine area.... more

The site was easy to level up in. We had trouble keeping our fire going, maybe lack of O2 to fire. This is a good place for a short visit to Valentine area. Appears to have several nice places to eat and would suggest The Corner Pub for a comfy welcoming place for a cocktail. If sitting outside you can hear the highway noise but isn't a problem inside.

We loved this place! We stayed an extra couple of nights because it was so relaxing, convenient to town and the outdoors. Rich was amazing! The sites are all pull through with full hook ups. Access to laundry and showers. WiFi was great; we were able to stream movies. The park sits in a beautiful field. 10/10 would stay here again!

We called to get reservations and she was very polite and professional! When we arrived, we asked for ideas of things to do and she was very helpful!! When we wanted to extend our stay, she helped us with that and made it so easy. The campground itself is very well maintained. The restrooms were immaculate!! The laundry facilities were easily accessible. It is such a pleasant place. If we are ever back this way, we will definitely stay here again!!

We found this little campground to be just what we needed. Only four other campers here and the pick of any site we wanted. Gravel base with water and sewer right at your site. The wifi was good enough that we streamed a movie from our service. Downloaded videos to Facebook and sent out texts. A little road noise but nothing to complain about. Well kept with clean sites and a pavilion. Discounts for Good Neighborhood Sam and Escapee members. We enjoyed our overnight stay.

The sites are more weeds than rock and grassy areas. They advertise “high speed internet” which is not true. For three night we struggled to even get 600kb and most the time we were the only ones here. They do have full hook ups minus cable. It is somewhat peaceful but you will hear some hwy traffic. The staff is very nice. I think for the price it is worth the stay, any higher and I’d say keep rolling.

We were going to stay at Smith Falls State Park but needed hookups due to the 100 degree weather in July. Sites are filed in but still a relatively small and quiet campground. We were going to stay at Smith Falls State Park but needed hookups due to the 100 degree weather in July. Sites are filed in but still a relatively small and quiet campground. Trees have been planted so some spots are shaded. The grounds are pleasant to walk and there is a beautiful goose roaming the property.
The office lady was super nice and very helpful. Bathrooms are clean and laundry is available.
This is a handy pass through but I would not choose as a long term stay. I will stay again if coming through.
