We camped here on 8/11/22.
We diverted here for repair work without a reservation and it suited our needs. This is a municipal campground with 103 shady sites set in the middle of a huge park with lots of trails along the river. Overall the campground is a bit tired.
I recommend entering and pulling straight forward to the powerlines where there is an area to park so you can scope the place out if unfamiliar with this campground. We did not do this and instead followed the signs to the right to the registration area, in which the camp host assigned us a spot after consulting the reservation logbook. The front part of the campground, before the powerlines are noisy from the highway bridge. The campsites past the powerlines are quieter, sites 69-103.
There are picnic tables, fire pits, pit toilets, a central restroom with flush toilets and free showers, some power sites, water spigots around the camping area, trash and recycling. There are some double sites, most sites have some privacy. We were assigned a pretty good site (site 60) in the front part of the campground to the left as you enter, except there was road noise from the highway bridge. Tall rigs be mindful of low hanging branches.
It was pretty busy due to the fishing season. Lots of locals use this park to fish and walk their dogs on the trails. Dogs are allowed to be off leash past the powerlines outside of the campground on these trails. Just after the entrance and day use parking area, there is a gate that opens at 7am and closes at 11pm.
We walked to town, doable but a bit dicey crossing the river on the highway. There is a free dump station behind the Visitor Center.

Great campground located right in the city of terrace with the skeena river wrapped around the island. Beautiful walking trails located within campground, where a local artist has taken time to carve characters into many of the cottonwoods along the trail.
