Stayed for a weekend trip. First come first serve spots. River was rushing but the creek was perfect to hang out in to fend off the mid day sun. Cleanest and best smelling vault toilets I've ever used. Great camp hosts. 4 star is for limited shade at camp spots. Very few spots had good shade and many had none at all. Would revisit.

But if a windy road to get there and constructions slowed getting in and out. We left at 9:30 and were told we had to wait an hour to get out on the main road.

The sites here are H U G E and relatively level. The river front sites are primo, but truthfully, there isn’t a bad spot at this camp. There were multiple trailers over 30’ long in the Park. All the neighbors were really nice and everyone respected the quite hrs.
The camp host was an absolute hoot and super easy going, knowledgeable dude.
SIDE NOTE; after our stay here we continued east on 108 over Sonora Pass down to 395 and Bridgport. This pass is 9600ft and has three different grades/descents that are 26%! Multiple campers advised us not to proceed, but we have a great 1ton truck and a relatively light trailer (Under 10k). There is one hair pin turn where our truck was in the oposite lane facing on coming traffic, but other than that, it’s not terrible.

First time camping at this campground. Loved it and will definitely be back. We lucked out and parked in the best site which is #16. I believe there are 34 sites and all sites are on a first come basis. Even though the campground filled up on the weekend we felt like we where by ourselves backed up to the river in our own paradise. In this area of the Sierras we usually boondock out in the woods but Eureka Valley campground has sites that fit our large rig and it was not dusty and was nice to have the river at our back door. Over half of the sites will accommodate large rigs. There are no hookups but all sites had nice tables and fire rings. The campground has vault toilets and three water pumps to get water, although you can not fill your rig with this water. Generators are allowed to run 8am-8pm. The campground is in close proximity to Kennedy Meadows for supplies, a quick meal, hiking, horseback riding and a drink at their saloon. We liked that we could drive a couple of miles if we needed anything but camp farther down the road away from the crowds.
The road past Clarks Fork starts to get curvy but was not a problem for our 34' toyhauler. We stayed here during a meteor shower and it was spectacular.
We did not have any AT&T cell reception and radio was a little hard to get also. So peaceful that we didn't even try to get television.
