No problem going up the hill, but when I was backing up to back into a site, the truck tires would slide for several inches on the gravel after I applied the brake. You'll want to take it slow and easy because of the gravel.
Otherwise it's a gorgeous location and well maintained campground. The sites in E loop aren't super spacious, but they're OK. Maneuvering is easy thanks to the wide roads and trimmed back trees.
The cell signal strength is only 2 bars, but the bandwidth is fantastic. No problems streaming or working.
It's quiet as heck here because it's back quite a way from the road. Isn't there a rule saying you have to build an RV park park near an airport or railroad? If so, they're breaking that rule.
Because of COVID, the store and other buildings are mostly closed. The bathhouse / laundry is open and $1.50 for washing and drying is pretty reasonable.
Lots of trees and shade. There are WiFi hotspots but did not need to use them.

We camped here for two nights in Section E site 19 (Aug 20). The drive-in off highway 81 (exit 264) was simple and straight forward coming from the north passing through the town. On departure the GPS took us south onto highway 81 (Exit 257) to exit and we bypassed the town.
Check in is located on the right as you pull in in a large parking lot. We were escorted to our campsite by one of the campground staff which was a nice touch.
Our site was large and very level back in site. Site had good power, water and sewer. This site had the sewer flush to the ground which was super nice and allowed for good drainage when the time came to take care of black and gray tanks. On the power utility box there was a cable hook up but the cable did not work. The site had a good amount of shade. Due to Covid the pandemic the store and the pool where closed. The cavern tour was still going on with limited numbers per group. We enjoyed the tour which was $15, normally $20 but for campground guests they gave a discount. The tour lasted slightly over an hour which was nice and refreshing with the interior temp around 55 compared to the upper 90s outside the cavern. There were nice wide hiking and biking trails that were nicely maintained. Even had a classic car show on the Saturday evening we were there.
Only complaint was our one neighbor partied into the night and were not considerate of those around them. Besides this small issue the campground was perfect. We will definitely be back in the future.

We were in the upper section and it was tight dodging boulders and tree branches. The ground was soft so we sunk a bit moving around the interior gravel roads. Also, we had to jockey to avoid one tree when we left. Luckily the car was not hooked up yet so we could back up. It is a pretty campground with tiered sites lined with big rocks. There is nice spacing and some privacy depending on the site. Our gravel site was long and pretty level. There are lots of trees and lots of branches falling. Several fell on top of our MH and one sounded like a bomb going off. Of course, it was 10:00 at night so we investigated in our PJs. Luckily, it didn’t damage anything. It was very quiet at night. The exit is through a rock arch that is 13’ 9”. Scary for us so we opted to go through the parking lot instead. WII FI was not available in our site. Verizon was 4g 3 bars so we were able to use our hot spot. We did not have satellite in our site but friends got it in E27. Most sites have too many trees for satellite to work. Most likely would not return here.

It rained every day in the afternoon so dust was minimal. The caves would not be a compelling reason to visit here in my opinion but the quiet, unspoiled countryside around is. Some stiff hikes around the hillside, be sure to bring insect repellant. The paved road in here is fairly narrow so wouldn’t recommend arriving after dark.

We camped at this location for two nights in section E, site 50. We exited I-81 at exit 257 and took US-11 to Endless Caverns Dr. US-11 is a good road and not hilly; while Endless Caverns Rd is more narrow and it is 2 miles to the campground/caverns office. Upon arrival you make a right turn into the large parking lot in front of the main entrance building, park to the far right, and check in at the office. (COVID-19 office is closed, communication occurs through window) You are given maps and the gate code for re-entry to the campground if you do any local shopping or sightseeing. The cavern tour is discounted for campers. Every camper is escorted by golf cart to their assigned site. The roads are all gravel and during our stay were very dry and dusty. When exiting the front parking lot to enter into the camping area there are steep hills and turns. Big rigs are able to maneuver the turns with careful driving. The climb up E section was steep as the whole section is cut into the hillside with terraced sites. We had a pull through, but observed many back-in sites that were very wide and level. The hookups were very good and our site was reasonably level. Every site has water, electric (20/30/50) and sewer. The entire campground is wooded and sites generally have shade trees. As others have mentioned, when exiting at the bottom of the hill there is a stone arch that is daunting for taller fifth wheels and motorhomes with no height signage. We chose to go around it when exiting. We camped here in July 2020 during the COVID-19 outbreak and almost all amenities were closed. Small groups were able to tour the caverns with masks. There are several hiking trails, which are challenging because of the elevation climb. Supermarkets are in Timberville, New Market has a few restaurants and small convenience shops - John Henry General Store was nice. If coming here for touring and staying awhile, we would recommend this campground. We wouldn't use it again for a quick night off the interstate.

The campground is hilly, but not too many tight turns. Some loops looked easier to navigate than others. Most sites are tiered and provide some distance between rigs. Nice fire pit at each site. We are looking forward to a return, and longer, visit.

New Market Battlefield Museum made for a good day. Suggest coming into campground from the south side. If you exit on the north, getting onto art 11 requires a tight right hand turn in downtown New Market. This was tough given our length.
