This would have been a great place for a stay but despite previous reviews had basically zero Verizon coverage. I found signal south on 101 near the State Park.
Nice open sites. Big rig accessible. Easy in and out. Clean with pit toilets, dumpsters, and potable water. No host when we stayed Sept 4, 2022

Even had a couple employees in a parks truck move out of our way instead of stopping us to tell us go no further....CLOSED! Looking for the open entrance we ended up a half mile down the not so great road. Fortunately right before I started backing out that half mile....a lady living in her car popped out of nowhere and till me to go around the bend another 100 yards to turn around. Thankyou nice lady. Looked like a great spot though. Maybe next May or June???? Check first!! And get some signage out there folks! Lol

Had only planned one night, but stayed two. Campground was quiet and especially nice with the sound of the creek. Spots are pretty simple to level with a couple chock blocks. The area has enough room to not feel crowded. Just note that there are no bushes or trees between sites. It is open enough to maneuver a fair sized rig' which is important as its required to turn around to get back out, as there is no drive through exit. The entire campground is grassy, so it's nice for tents. Vault toilets were ok, not scrubbed clean, but not gross. It was a good overnight spot for me. Rate was $8. $4 with a Senior Pass.

Will prolly stay another nite so we can relax from our long journey.

We watched the green grass turn gold. Can be windy on a few days. Plenty of kids to play with pre-labor day weekend. Made many memories and met many wonderful people, holiday campers, fire refugees and long timers. Just 4 miles in from 101. And just $4 a nite at half price!

The campground is open and on Labor Day 2021 (September 6) around noon about two thirds of the sites were available. According to the campground host it was completely full until that very morning - as expected for such a holiday weekend.
Clean vault toilets, trash service, water. Although the campground does not look even remotely as green as in the pictures - the lawns are rather yellow-brown - I think this is a great place for a night or for some time (I talked to two people who had been there for almost 14 days and liked it very much).
I had good Verizon service here (good enough to attend a Zoom meeting).

Tried to go this campsite in May 2021 and it was unfortunately gated up and closed. The campsite itself looked nice so it was a real shame! Hope it reopens in the future!

Quiet, easy to find, good enough spacing between sites. Overall everything we were asking for. Pit toilets were fairly clean. No water. Self registration with camp host. Bonus the accept the national park pass for half price!

BLM campground. Photos and info previously posted are accurate (except I counted only 20 sites though two are supposedly doubles). Pit toilets. 1 water tap near the host's site. Water tastes good. No dump station. Sites near the main road were a bit noisy esp. for tents as there was considerable logging truck traffic, which starts about 5 am. 5 group sites are reservable at www.recreation.gov for $30/night for up to 25 people and 4 vehicles. Camp hosts welcoming and laid back. Sprint roaming would probably work fine. Boat ramp just across the street on the Sixes River, but closed if water levels are low. Take US 101 8 miles north of Port Orford. Turn right (east) on Sixes River Rd, which is paved, travel about 4.5 miles to campground on left. Full rate is $8/night, but various passes offer discounts.

This place is closed. No sign on highway but drove clear in and had to turn around 2 travel trailers. Also the cell reports are wrong. Barely one bar of Verizon. Don’t matter ……it is closed
