Road in was slow going, narrow, but very doable in my 25 ft class C. Just be careful as you turn off the highway onto the forest service road. There's a bit of a drop off! Level, pull through site. Level, pull through site. So quiet at night, even though campground was nearly full. Nothing on the passenger side but forest. Was able to open my bedroom window and star gaze at night. Primitive but clean site. Short walk to beautiful O'Dell creek. Very refreshing in the 90+ heat.
Never saw a ranger and no hosts on site but was not a problem.

I was able to grab an awesome spot on a late Sunday afternoon in July for one night. We’re in a camper van and the spot was a large, pull through spot located close to the pit toilets. This spot and all the others on this side of the loop are on the creek/tributary to the lake. There are paths along the water that are accessible from the campsite and also the main road to explore. Would definitely stay here again if I’m able to snap a waterfront spot. The rest of the sites are fine, but don’t compare to the waterfront. Cell coverage was extremely spotty - I was receiving some texts and could make a call but was very erratic.

Sites are pull through though 9 has a pine tree on each side of the curved pull through necessitating some shilled maneuvering for a 24 footer.Other sites are much more open.
