“Beautiful But Mosquitoes ”
Reviewed 7/10/2023
Beautiful, quiet and plenty of room for our 30 foot fifth wheel. But, luckily we were just staying overnight & didn’t mind staying in the trailer to avoid the copious mosquitos.

We stayed here with our 43’ Momentum, based on a recommendation on Facebook. There were several sites we could have stayed in. There aren’t a ton of areas along 93 to pull in for big rigs, but this one was beautiful. Easy access from 93. Very peaceful, beautiful, and quiet. Access to the river was fenced off for restoration, which was fine for us because we didn’t want our dogs going in the river, but would be a problem for fishing. Not sure why this site is marked ‘No Big Rigs’ because we didn’t have a problem. No cell service, not even SOS. Tons of mosquitos, but it is that time of year. Great location to explore area ghost towns. Overall, a great stop.

This place would be nice enough for a free campground if it weren't for the mosquitos. It was the worst I've ever seen in a campground. I mean, it was terrible. We did make a campfire but had to layer on the bug spray. The location is good. It's right off the main state route and there were plenty of spaces. It was a fairly large space and would be fine for trailer campers. In fact, we were the only non-trailer camper on site. I love free, and I appreciate Idaho keeping some free campgrounds, but I'd not stay at this one again due to the bugs.

Late August there's just two campers here & an occasional fisher. Several sites & you can park any size in here. It will be packed during the fish runs. It's across a bridge so not right next to the hwy. There is traffic noise, but it's quiet out at night.
