We had the large circle to ourselves and on our morning walk we only saw one other car. We did not explore the entire camp because we were just passing through for an overnight stop. We would be glad to return and experience a longer camp here.

We first tried to go to a site in Globe but after a mile on dirt road with 5 more to go we came here for plan “b”. Just a mile on a dirt road off 77. Pretty area. No one else was there but late June was hot at this elevation. We are in a minivan. No bathroom.

Nice view but was basically the turnaround at the road split. Great for night but just a large dirt lot.

Easy access from Hwy77. Beware if rain as the road could washout. We took the first space on the right which would be perfect for big rigs. I was stoked to find this spot. It’s right of Hwy 77. Road is great and there is a huge pad for larger vehicles that you come upon first. Looks like there are other spots further down the road as I saw some vans coming out in the morning. Very quiet, felt very safe. Only one other camper here on a Saturday night. Great Verizon service!... more

We spent 3 nights here on the way to Globe and further north. We just left the heat in Tucson and needed someplace a little cooler. Temps were 75 during the day and mid 40s at night. We had intended on just spending one night here, but it was such a nice spot and quiet, that we stayed two more. Easy to access from Hwy 77, and Globe is 16 miles away to get gas and groceries. There are a few dips in the road, but our 30' Class C with tow dolly were fine. Freshly graded road in, and we got the first large spot to the right, which has room for probably 3 large rigs. Not a lot of traffic on the road, a few trucks going back to their campsites, and no activity at night. We didn't go any further down Dripping Springs Rd, but we did see a truck pulling a fairly large 5th wheel headed back that way. We saw a jackrabbit, our first Gila monster, and heard coyotes at night. The only complaint I would report are the flies, and they only showed up after we cooked outside. BIG plus...we had excellent T Mobile service, 5G and I could stream on the Roku.

Gorgeous spot. Room for several RVs. Decent Verizon signal. Cholla cactus are plentiful as are some great rocks for hounding!

No issues getting further in from road (about 1/4 mile) than the pin location with our Class C. However, if it had rained, we wouldn’t have been able to cross the washes. I gave it 4 stars because of the huge amount of cholla which made it tough on our pups! Good Verizon service (2-3 bars) but no local stations.

I parked pretty much right where the GPS pin is, but there are other camps if you turn in by the pin and take the smaller gravel road back. The view is absolutely amazing and the stars are bright at night. I would definitely camp again.
Also, great cell service!
