“Met w/ others to occupy (3) camp sites. A decent stay”

SEPTEMBER 19th-22nd 2024
We occupied (3) campsites w/ (4) vehicles. So, in addition to paying $24 a night, there was a $10 fee for an additional vehicle on a site.
We all had tents and found reasonable spots that were decently graded.
Site 11 and 12 are fine, we do NOT recommend site 13. This particular site (13) is strategically placed on the road/driveway that shares National Forest campground and public housing, therefore, there are many private vehicles/UTV's that routinely go on the road from morning to night- not to mention dust.
If solitude is important, we recommend sites 14 and 15. They are one way in/out sites with isolation from the other campers. The only "people" contact one sees in sites 14 and 15 is an occasional hiker or backpacker. This is, because the Arizona Trail runs parallel to the campground.
The toilets are vaulted (as noted) and kept clean. There is no hand wash station, please insure you have adequate clean supplies for after. We really did not use the campground toilet based on our own provisions.
NO CELL SERVICE. We had a sat cell for emergency, but no provider service. Maybe a call or text in particular locations- but it was a hit and/or miss for outside contact.
Campground Host was professional and courteous.
Good hiking (Arizona Trail goes through campground) and peaceful. We did not need to go to the country store that is 3-3.5 miles away.
We would camp at this campground again.
Vince would stay here again
