Arrived this evening. What a charming little park. We appreciate being able to stay here like this. We ate in a restaurant in town and shopped at the grocery store.

There are 2 sites, we were in the one with the tree swing, and were the only campers there over a weekend in May. The park itself is regularly visited by locals for the playground, open space to let dogs run, and little league games in the evenings. Everyone we met were super nice and received a lot of waves and smiles.
I did see a 50amp plug closer to the barn, but it didn’t look like an actual spot, and didn’t want to take advantage of the generosity of the free services offered. Next to the barn there did appear to be a dump station PVC in the ground but didn’t unscrew the cap to give it a smell test to confirm.
We had planned on staying 1 night and that turned into 3 nights based on the scenery and the convenience of the park. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
As previously mentioned there are pit toilets in front of the designated sites but they were in super rough shape and we never actually went in to investigate, as we have a bathroom in the rig that works just fine.
Our Starlink worked well, even with all of the trees around our spot, we aimed toward closest ball field and it was able to connect.

We stayed here for an overnight while traveling. There were two sites with free water and electric hook ups just feet from each other. There appeared to be a few tent sites with electrical as well. The park was somewhat run down. The outhouses were both out of service with seat missing and doors that would not close.

Good Verizon service, enough to do work, even had a zoom call with no issues. Very quiet, some family’s during the day, but no night traffic.
We took the route Google maps gave us (Park street) and didn’t run into any issues. Paved road coming in, then gravel in the park. We had no issues navigating this spot in our 27 ft travel trailer. No signs signaling how long you can stay or anything about camping in general, but the maintained man gave us a friendly wave.
Picked up a few pieces of trash laying around as a thank you for allowing us to stay at this beautiful park for free. I recommend you do the same!!

The pad is perfectly level. We didn’t need level blocks! We are a large travel trailer (36ft) and the pad was too small but we made it work just fine with our back end over the curb a little bit. We came in on clay rd as a review said it was best. It was very easy to get too. And not far off the hwy. We went out using Main Street and had no issues. There is the best Amish store just 15 min away that is a must stop by for their fried pies! Just google jamesport H&N. You don’t want to miss that place!
We stayed 2 nights. Talked to some of the locals who are very nice! Never bothered. Maintenance came Monday to weed wack and was very friendly. Perfect location for visiting historical sites all within 45 min drive!

There are also water spigots, but the water was off while we were here. The spots can fit a 30 foot rig if you back up over the curb. We had our trailer on and didn't want to disconnect so we parked sideways in front of 1 spot. This worked fine, there were no other campers, but the park was busy with baseball and locals coming to the pond and playground so don't block any of the roads.
The park did offer free electricity, nasty toilets, a pond with small bluegill, picnic tables and grills, a playground, a gazebo, and even a beat up tennis court. The views from the bench swing by our front door were pretty nice too.
As for getting here I suggest Clay Rd. There is a hard switch back turn this way, but our 28 foot rig pulling the car trailer made it easy enough. There is another road in just North of Clay by a tractor dealership. We tried this road first but came to a decrepit bridge that said 3 ton limit. We didn't risk it and went back to Clay Rd.

It is also a baseball park. I was there on a Wednesday and they had some practices. No one bothered us. I had 3 dogs and we walked the area of the park. I did not use power and there was no water. It is best suited for very small rvs or trailers. I am pulling a 6X10 trailer with a Honda CRV and I fill the spot up. Very nice and quiet at night after everyone leaves. I will definitely stay here again if I am in the area.

We left I-35 for Hwy 13 (very tight, winding road) for about 15 miles. There was little to no signage indicating the park location or where we could park the travel trailer once inside the park. The only information we were going off was from other Campendium/Facebook reviews.
Once we located the site (only two available) we hooked up to electricity with no problem and no water was available (first weekend in April 2018) Site overlooks the small pond and gazebo (next to long shed).
FYI: the site is at most 30' deep and there is not enough space to back-in a large trailer and not have the truck blocking the road. We opted to pull in front of both sites (blocking both) since the weather was snowy and we didn't see (or anticipate) any other campers that night (and we were right).
Overall, great spot if you want some free hook-ups for a night - but not close to any amenities or attractions.

Dockery Park holds the distinction as our family’s very first night turning our SUV into an RV and camping in it.
We didn’t realize at the time how rare it was for a free campsite to offer free water and electricity. The water was turned off for winter when we stayed there, but the free electricity saved us.
The park has what they call a Livestock Barn that is really just a large metal roof with a dirt drive lane down the middle and livestock pens on the sides. It was drizzling and getting cold when we drove into the campground at around eleven o’clock at night. It occurred to me that our Tahoe might barely fit under the roof of the livestock barn, even with a cargo box and two giant duffles on top, so we pulled under the barn roof and parked next to a concrete pad that was perfect for unloading and organizing our stuff.
Being first timers, we weren’t nearly as organized as we should have been. Just for sleeping overnight, we needed a few items from the cargo box, some things from each of the giant duffles, and we had things all over the Tahoe that would have to go elsewhere to make room for us to set up our sleeping arrangements the way we had planned. It was merciful to have that shelter from the rain to get organized.
The next day, we had a good time in the park. In daylight, it looked very charming, up on a hill, and you could see most of the town from that vantage point. There was a bench swing hanging from a tree next to our campsite, overlooking a nice little pond with a gazebo on its banks. Our little boy and puppy had a great time running up and down the gazebo’s stairs and treating it as their clubhouse. There was plenty of space for the puppy to run and play. There was a playground with good play equipment for our little boy.
Some locals came to use the park, but they were friendly and didn’t bother us at all.
We accidentally drained our Tahoe’s battery overnight and then intentionally drained our jump starter/battery pack with our electric blankets. When we figured out our predicament, we found that the free electrical outlet at the campsite we chose was designed for RVs, which have a completely different plug than regular household electrical outlets. Thankfully, there was a working outlet inside the livestock barn. We plugged in the battery pack and played for another hour. That was all it took to charge the battery pack enough for it to jump start the Tahoe, and we were on our way. That little bit of electricity we used saved us from a AAA service call.
