“Nice little campground but very remote”

First, there is no water in the park this summer. And as indicated there are no showers or flush toilets or cell service of any kind. It's lovely but very remote and with virtually nothing to do in the way of hiking or cycling nearby. The swimming hole is its only amenity. Plenty of mosquitos this week. We planned to say 2 nights but left after 1 for lack of much to do in the campground or immediate area. It's 20 miles from either Happy Camp or Somes Bar. I'd call this a stopover-only option. This is not for RVs - only a couple sites worked for our 21' class B.

“Nice campground but the swimming hole is the star for this campground”

Driving up from 299 along Hiway 96 we passed a few campsites but this one was the nicest so we stopped for the night. Small but beautiful campground with lots of tree cover. The Klamath river is right across the hiway which provides the lovely sound of the rushing river. The campground is right next to the hiway but there was so little traffic that it had no impact. The surprise was the short hike to the creek where there is a beautiful swimming hole with rock face sides, aqua blue water and a rocky sandy bottom. The water was refreshing just made this camp the best stop for the day. Many sites were reserved but there were enough open sites still available. Water and pit toilets but for $10 not bad.
I would not travel to this site just to camp there since it is out in the middle of no where but if you are driving along Hiway 96 it is worth the stop even if you are just stopping to cool down at the swimming hole.
No cell coverage since this is far from anything.
