There’s power and water, with one dump station. We were in site 13 and had the most fantastic view of the ocean (note: because of dune grass you don’t see the ocean when seated - but have amazing views when standing or from inside your RV). We stayed 4 nights. There is a beach, but during our time here it really wasn’t usable for sunbathing because of sea grass deposits (drive a little down the road into Marathon and go to Sombrero beach, which is ideal for sunbathing). However we used our kayak every day we were here (you can rent them if you don’t have your own) and going through Mangrove Tunnel is a MUST, as is kayaking out to the sand bar and walking along it. The campsites are very hard packed gravel and level (didn’t need any leveling). The campground hosts were extremely friendly. We were here in July (2023) and of course it was HOT, but cooled down so we could sit outside at night. We weren’t really impacted by mosquitoes either, which was nice. Overall, and gem of a campground and we would return!

Curry Hammock State Park is truly a gem. Small, quiet, and basic, it provides access to a beautiful private beach for relaxing (no pets allowed!) as well as a public picnic area where windsurfers congregate and entertain.
This place has great dark skies at night, and amazing sunrises. It is exceptionally quiet and secluded, and most sites are decently private if a bit close together. Each site offers 30A or 50A and water hook-ups. There is a pull-through dump station.
The campground offers clean, hot showers and restrooms (handicap accessible) and a small book exchange. The public picnic area offers a single soda pop machine. You can rent kayaks from the check-in office.
We adore this park. This go round, we scored site 22 which was private and offered views of the water, but no direct access. Site 2 had no water views but was also surprisingly private.
We did notice that the noseeums were significantly worse than when we stayed here in February of 2020. Rumor has it that Keys state parks are no longer raking seagrass from the beaches (can confirm) and this might be the cause. We did struggle to sit outside because, well, noseeums are hungry for human flesh! Lots of iguanas during this stay as well.
Other than the build up of seagrass, the beach was clean and clear during out stay and we enjoyed several frolics in the cool, shallow water.
There are hammock rings at each campsite which I thoroughly apprectiate!
Starlink worked. great here with some positioning away from foliage based obstructions in each site we occupied. Verizon has good signal, but the towers are overloaded and it can be laggy.

The water was murky, so not really good for swimming, but the kayak path The sites are wide and include a grill and picnic table. The bathrooms and showers were very clean. There are a lot of bugs, so bug spray is a must. The only issue I had was that electric box at my site kept tripping. I have a tiny camper and only had the AC hooked up. I'm not sure if it was due to the storms or an issue with that specific site.

The campground itself is one loop. There are 28 sites. A large building with very clean showers and bathrooms. There is also a convenient location to sort the recycles and drop off the garbage. The dump station is well placed near the garbage and easy to use. The sites are pretty level and most are covered in little white stones. There is a picnic bench and a barbecue at your site.
As for dogs, well, its not very dog friendly. They allow them but basically just in the campground and a short trail. They are not allowed on the beach or in the day use park. Also, the sites are surrounded by thick bushes with tons of stickers. Ouch. Pups got a face full the first day. No chickens though. Thank goodness. They drove my terrier crazy in Key West.
Try to get the beach side obviously for the sunrise that will come right in your windows. But still any site is a short walk to what feels like a private beach. Be careful of jellyfish. Ouch for humans.
We scored a coveted ocean spot for 8 nights. Usually these have to be reserved 11 months in advance. I have been camping here for years in a tent, then 20 foot travel trailer, then a class B, now 35 foot Fifth Wheel. All accommodated easily here. The sites have a gravel surface so make sure you have a pad to sleep on if you are tent camping.
Besides the dog issues, there is also the noseeums (tiny, vicious little flying bugs that bite) at sunrise and sunset. Best to cover up and maybe spray yourself down. Its well worth the pictures.
For the Kitesurfers:
One of the best Kitesurfing Beaches in the Keys, confined to the Day Use side of the park for launching and Landing. I have been Kitesurfing here for a decade, awesome spot for east winds. The Day use side has excellent bathrooms and outdoor shower to rinse off after a kite Session.

Thankfully, nick’s mom reserves is a site here 11 months in advance. While we begrudgingly drove from the west coast to make it here- 2 weeks in the keys with family was worth it.
The campground is conveniently located near Marathon so shopping and restaurants are just minutes away and while dogs aren’t allowed on the beach at the campground both coco plum and sombrero beaches nearby allow dogs on leash.
The spots are a sand/gravel mixture and nice and wide. Electric and water at each site and a dump station at the end of the loop.
Bathrooms and showers are brand new and always clean.
Cell service was great with both AT&T and Verizon
