Not much better then this. This is a boondocking / overland site - no rv hookups or facilities.

I stayed here solo in my 4Runner was a perfect area to stop for a few days.

Overall Rating

We did not camp at this location, but we drove over to check it out for others. This area is still very beautiful and has very little sign of fire damage. Also, there are several camping spots along this road. Easiest access is from Tionesta rd. Which is a really smooth gravel road. 2 bars verizon and T mobile. Also, Lava Beds National Monument is only about 15 miles away and is a must-see. 16 lava flow caves to explore on your own, and they let you borrow flashlights at the visitor center.
