I arrived around 6 PM and found a spot. It filled up quickly after that. There’s beautiful scenery around. A little loud from the highway noise, but that’s to be expected. Easy overnight stop.

Best camping spot I’ve ever been to. Bathrooms immaculate. Continental breakfast. They polished my shoes.
It’s an interstate rest stop, it does the trick. Unless you are old and doing that whole RV or Sprinter thing. If you got a sick rig however, this is the spot for you.

I made myself some food, watched a movie on my tablet and went to bed.
It is a small lot and the traffic noise is loud but it subsides the later it gets so I slept well. If you have ear plugs this is the place to use them. Also anything else to drown out the traffic noise like mellow music or a white noise machine wouldn’t hurt.
I didn’t use the bathrooms or get out of my vehicle as I’d stopped earlier to feed and walk my dog.
Left at 6 the following morning.
Cars came and went but everyone was respectful and quiet.

The parking lot is very small, which is fine if you’re just passing through, but if you plan to stay overnight you’ll have to show up early. We got the only RV/ truck spot that was left and the rest of the lot filled very quickly with people living out of cars. Around midnight people started yelling, a little later a truck driver started honking repeatedly because cars had started parking wherever and left no way out.
Having said that, it’s right outside of San Francisco and it’s free. We did not use the restrooms, but did check out the statue that’s off the rest areas path, which was nice.

We got there late night and that place was packed with cars! We got a 36 foot 5th wheel and almost got stuck in there as it was so tight to get through the cars. It was only inches and my girlfriend had to guide me so we don’t hit parked cars. We have not seen 1 RV in there and from what we could see there were no RV or Truck spots at all. Our advise to you, DON’T STOP 🛑 there!
