“Great view, but small spots”

The camp hosts were very gracious and helpful with some RVing questions we had. However, I don't understand how the owners built such narrow sites and on terrible gravel. Our first site was so narrow, that when we tried to open our steps, they went right up to the large rock retaining wall with a 2 foot drop so it was impossible to step off out bottom step without stepping right onto these large retaining rocks. We moved to the next spot and we had to position our slides where the hookups were actually between the slides and I could not get to my tank dumps. I had to send my daughter under the slide to do the dirty work. Our trailer was within 5 feet of the next trailer's front door. And lastly, and biggest issue was the gravel they used clumped to your shoes like concrete during any type rain at all. The times we walked our small dog his paws were clumped with this black gavel and required a full wash to clean him. My wife started carrying him to the truck and driving out the gate to find some grass. Watch the weather. If it calls for rain, pass this campground up or make sure you have to tools to scrape a lot of mud and rocks off your shoes when you step out your camper. With some modifications, this could be a 5 star campground.
As for out pros, the view was great. A herd of deer is within the park fence and they are a joy to look at. There even is a white deer there.

James, Kelli, Rick and Deb made our stay very enjoyable. This is a hidden gem! Clean restrooms, full hookups, seasonal pool, hot tub, fire ring, angus burgers, cabins, lodge, game room with WiFi, chapel for weddings, beautiful views of stars, and lots of wildlife on 50 fenced and gated acres! Laid back property with awesome staff.
