We had a great time. Campsite was clean, tent pads are small so if you have a big tent make sure the site you pick has extra space to set up. The camp hosts were great, since our tent was to big they said we could move to another site if it would accommodate us better. This is a primaitive campground with water at near by faucets. Restrooms are vault toilets. Swimming area was fun and so was the hiking trail around the lake. Drove to Mountain Magazine for dinner at the Lodge.

We arrived to the campground just after dark on Friday 11/27/2020. It was a bit hard to get backed in only because of the darkness and the dark blacktop on the camp road and the site, but we made it. We got settled in and made our way to the restrooms which were listed in the amenities as flushers, they were not. The restrooms we found in both camp loops were vault toilets, but they were clean with alcohol foam dispensers for at least a touch of cleaning. Most of the campsites were empty as it was Thanksgiving weekend and a bit cold. In out loop there was another camper tailor that used a generator periodically, but it was quiet, relatively speaking. Across the cove in the other loop there were 2 camper trailers using generators, one a bit louder than our nearby neighbors but not terrible, then the other just up from them a frame generator we had saw earlier on our walk was much louder. However, in our camper they were no bother, but if you were tent camping they might have been a bit annoying. We did not see anywhere saying no generators allowed, so beware if you go here.
The campsites were all paved, most of them pretty level. Each campsite has a fire ring, table, grill, and a tent pad. A few of the sites were more like a pull off of the road for a care with a tent site next to it, but most are back in sites. There was 1 or 2 pull through sites. The sites are well spaced for the most part. There are a couple of "double sites" you might say, one labeled campsite but big enough for multiple vehicles and 2 tables at those sites. Campsites 5, 6, and 7 are quite close together, as we were in site 5 and I feel if the people in site 6 would have stayed we may have felt these people were right under foot.
It appears water may be available in the campgrounds during the summer, but all water at faucets in the campgrounds were off for the winter during our stay. There are swings available at each campground as well.
There is a swimming area for summer use. At the swimming area there are restrooms that are probably flushers and possibly showers, but I am not sure as they were locked for the off season. There also appears to be a store ore snack bar/restaurant that may be open in the summer as well. We were able to get a bit of phone service at the swimming area, but no other service for AT&T or U.S. Cellular.
All in all a nice campground that we do intend on revisiting.
