Come in early June and see why it is called Cottonwood Campground. It was practically snowing from the cottonwood trees. Bugs will pick you up and carry you away beginning about dusk. Highway noise but not too bad.

This campground is right next to the I-15, and a set of train tracks that seem to see daily use. We didn’t lose any sleep from noise, though, with our AC running at night, and during the day, the freeway was like white noise.
I loved that the sites were spacious, the grounds were clean and there were some great amenities.
There’s a nature trail through the grounds, a nice playground, and a 5 min walk to the beach.
We got about a dozen channels with our little antenna and our T-Mobile service was 3 bars of 5G.

Its really ashamed that this campground is right along I15 with no protection from road noise, because it is beautiful! It has nice big campsites with a grill, firepit and covered picnic table. Leveling was a big issue in our campsite #234. The side to side leveling was okay but the front to back leveling was the worst I have seen. The cell coverage was pretty decent and the OTA TV channels were abundant. Had to sleep with earplugs and even them it was noisy from the interstate. There is a little downward grade in the area so you will probably hear lots of engine brakes from the big rigs. Didn’t have an issue with mosquitoes. There are definitely insects that look like mosquitoes but they never tried to bite us. Overall I would try to avoid in the future due to noise and leveling issues, which is a shame because its pretty and close to the awesome town of Ogden.

We were in need of a 1 night stay because so many places were booked. I checked online and I was able to book a site. Despite the bad reviews I did it anyways. We got the day off and was a bit early and the young lady told us very boldly to go sit somewhere until 3 because no one is allowed in until 3. We went and sat at flying J gas station until 3. Came back and the whole place was cramped and full of people. They are pull thru sites but our 36’ had a hard time manuevering through the park. They have side rails that are not very wide at all. The pull through itself is narrow and was hard to park in general. We have a Toyota Tacoma tow and the girl told me she had to charge me. She charged me the same exact amount I paid for the night stay. So basically I paid twice but yet in one spot. Not sure how that is fair or adds up. Online I paid 30.00 for the actual site but she charged me 25.00 for our tow?? I should have looked harder to stay elsewhere. Especially since this is a dry camping site no hookups whatsoever. Cell and internet is very slow too.

We were looking for a non-RV park experience and it was nice to have the walking paths to the lake/reservoir after a long day of driving, the views were great from the beach. The sites were decently spaced, it would feel crowded during a peak season weekend.
It's a safe spot with good tree coverage if this location is perfect for you en route, but between the road noise and the $38 ($30 site + $8 Reserve America fee) it's a poor value.

Just ok. Sites not labelled well, assigned picnic table/awning/fire pit easily confused with adjacent site – overnight tent camper took our table, and next eve RV neighbors used fire pit but host didn't correct. We “went with it”, but wanted fire pit our last night. Easily corrected by relocating site sign to other side of hookups, repaint space #s & adding #s to tables/awnings (plus a host orientation). Site pretty level, big water leak around backflow valve (I fixed with own parts -- others had leaks, too). Great location for access to local hikes. Crazy cost for additional vehicle, should be nominal like $5 per night if already paying campsite fees. Goathead thorns are everywhere & can't just walk around even on pavement without picking up a dozen on shoes you have to remove before entering RV/tent to prevent damage. A nuisance to tent camping & account for 90% of plant life at the site.

It is NOT worth $35.00 a night.
When we booked we thought we were going to be somewhere similar to NORTH MARINA. Close to the beach and greenery.
Suggestion: Book North Marina, Cottonwood, or Willow Creek.

There was room to put up the 5 dome tents we needed. We were able to park all our 2 cars right next to the campsite - we had to pay for the extra vehicle. There was a parking space before you even pull into the park. You can pay for day use and it's only $5. Which we did for 1 person.
The campground was clean and well maintained. The bathrooms were stocked. The showers were hot with lots of pressure. Yes, spiders, but that's because you're outside and they crawl in. It was greener than I expected. There were less mosquitos Than I expected.
The beach is at the north loop. To reach it you have to drive about 10 minutes north on I-15. We went there to play, then went back to our Campground on south marina for hot showers, no crowds, and a nice firepit.
Note... The RV pads have covered picnic spots. The tent sites only have a picnic table. Bring your shade tent for sure!

The bugs weren't too bad, we've been through here when they have been much worse.
$48 for one night included the $8 reservation fee, so a little steep for one night but paying for the convenience of a state park with easy Interstate access.
FHU site, but only 30 amp power so I wouldn't want to be here when it was too hot.
