After 360 miles fighting the wind on I-80, I was exhausted so I found an empty spot and parked away from a few other vehicles which looked like they were parked for the night. The next morning I saw a woman in a Class B parked a couple of spots up from me. Ten hours later as I left, I kept looking for campground rules and fee information but never saw any. Great free night stay for this exhausted traveler.

When we arrived (on a Monday night) there were a few scattered tents, one of which looked abandoned and a camper with a well-worn jeep. It appeared most if not all campers were homeless.
Site was close to a busy street so it was a bit noisy. Restrooms in desperate need of renovation. Since we were in a fully loaded RV we were not bothered with the noise, once we closed the windows, and we did not have to use the restrooms. Parking spaces are short but there is a free dump station. Cell phone signal (Verizon): 4 bars. Easy access to get back on the road again (I-80).
It was fine for a 1 night overnight but would not want to stay there longer.

A nice park next to a wildlife enclosure and nice view of the Platte River. Sites are somewhat cramped, but our 40' class A fit in the only pull through(site 1). A bit of traffic as folks were looking at the animals and getting ice cream at the concession stand. After dark pretty quite

Old park with RV and tent sites, no hookups, there is a dump station, dirty, old bathrooms - no showers, and potable water available. We stayed on Labor Day on our way West to Colorado and came in after dark. Only a handful of sites were occupied and most were quiet. There were some bikers tent camping that were up late drinking and being loud, as well as what seemed to be local homeless or tweekers. One lady was filling up random buckets, jugs, and a rubbermaid trash can (I’m not kidding) with fresh water then proceeded to wash her face, hair, and a towel or two (or possibly clothing) under the fresh water faucet. Someone called the cops on them, probably because they were all so loud, but the cop wasn’t there long and they were still loud after he left. A camp site is $5/night so the bar for entry is very low, and, from my experience, you get what you pay for. If the bikers and the tweekers didn’t keep us up until about 2:30am, I would have given this place a 4 star review. Negative 1 star for small pads and gross bathrooms

Based on other reviews, we weren't sure we would fit, but, after talking to a local police officer who was cruising through, we found a spot facing the river. There are large trees for shade and lots of mowed grass for the fur babies to roll in. Be sure to check out the Golden Spike Tower just outside town.

The park is on the edge of town and is quiet. I didn't have any problems driving my large Class A RV through town to the park, nor did I have any problems driving a round down. In the "downtown" area there is a lot of neat shops. Also available is several coffee shops. We parked the RV just north of "downtown" in a large shopping center parking lot, and walked a few blocks to have coffee.
I want to return to spend more time in town exploring.
This is a hidden gem.

Not far from I-80 and cheap, this is a perfect one night stopover. However, the campground is closed October 15th so if you show up on November 1st, like we did, you won’t be spending the night. If I recall correctly it opens April 1st. We headed over to Buffalo Bill CG, much more pricey.

I didn't stay but just wanted to offer a couple things that may help others. My gps and phone wanted me to turn left on 13 th and then vine and keep going in a circle. The easy way to get directly into the RV portion of the park is to continue north on 83 to the RV area entrance which is across the road from the Parkview Community Church and right before the river. When you turn in you will be looking directly at the rv area and be able to go around it and exit with any size rig.
It's an older park so some of the pads were rather short but there were a couple longer ones and a class A was parked there.
The park is large with paved roads and a lot of area to walk or bike.
An important thing, if coming from the expressway (80) is to pay attention to the low awning on the building at the corner of 5 th and 83. It may be because of widening the road over the years but there is a large aluminum awning that seems to stick out too close to the roadway. There are also short plastic poles along the center line. Google earth shows a 4 lane road in 2012 but right now it's 2 lane.
