We also visited the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, which is worth a visit. The sites are mostly level, with great views and perfect for solar and Starlink. I don't know if it is boondockers, or locals that come up and watch sunrise/sunset, but there was a fairly large amount of toilet paper scattered around the hilltop where we camped.

Pop it in 4-wheel when you pull off the highway - the road in is fine - just a bit steep, and with loose gravel. Our 40-foot 5th wheel had *plenty* of room to turn around and find level ground. Clean, gravel parking with minimal road noise.

Very Easy To Get To, Wide Open Area. There Were A Few Other Car But It Was Such A Wide Area Than Everyone Was Plenty Away From Each Other. Amazing Night Sky. Might Be Too Windy For Tenting? It’s On Top Of A Hill. Great For Vans And RVs Though. Highly Recommend. We Also Had Great Cellphone Service.

We stopped by the BLM office in Cody to inquire about the area. We got a Wyoming recreation map that shows the various BLM areas.. This area is not show per say but is the better area.
You turn left on undesprict road before the summit of Eagle Pass, before the right to Eagle Pass Interpretive Site area which has some camping as well.. not as over all good.
When you turn you come up a hill with the usual BLM washboard to a large site on the right.. When we were here there was a WIN, Wandering Individuals Networks with like 5 rigs that came after us ...
there was plenty of room for all..
A bit further down on right was another section taken up by one guy in the fricken middle of the space taking it all up more or less.
Further down the road was not really suitable for spots for the most part.. we rode down in truck checking it out..
The area can get windy but that is Wyoming all the time.. for the most part the wind comes from the N E.. we parked sorta parallel to gravel road with door looking more ESE to not get wind and was able to keep awning out a lot for the most part.
this time of year we saw 80 during day and 70's with slight wind, low humidity which was coolish.. nights are quiet and cool for good sleeping with electric blanket to warm the bed.. :)
tons of sun for solar. great views in all directions and cell towers to the north for GREAT att, t mobile etc. and 14 days .. if you want you can move across the street for more days but we did not see anyone from BLM drive through for the most part.

Came here after leaving Yellowstone 8/25. Pulled into the first large spot as you come up the hill. Was going to spend the weekend, but it was too windy to put up any type of canopy to get out of the sun, and you really need it here. So left the next day, but I would definitely come back. Very quiet.

We arrived late, midnight. Easy to navigate and pretty private. Several bullet shells, but fairly clean still.

Decent (some washboarding) maintained BLM road right off of US HWY 14. Multiple large pads on the right side of the dirt road (the GPS location on this review marks the 2nd pad). Further down the road there is a fork and if you stay left there is a large area as well.
This area can accommodate any size rig and the ground is rocky and firm. There could be issues if the ground is very wet.
Location is quiet with 1 or 2 vehicles driving down the dirt road per day. Some background noise from HWY 14 but not bad. Area feels safe and some days I was gone for 12 hours with no issues.
Verizon cell service was always good but data connection was not the best. 15 - 40 MBPS download speeds from 8PM to 10AM and and average of 1 - 3 MBPS download speeds from 10AM - 8PM with occasional periods of faster speeds. MIMO antennae connected to jet packed seemed to help.
14 miles one way to Walmart in Cody, WY. The area has everything you need such as grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, propane fill, free RV dump with paid potable water, auto parts stores and repair shops, hospital, etc.
Had serval days where flying ants and regular flys would land on my travel trailer but nothing out of the ordinary for boon-docking. Area is windy in the afternoon/evening.
