Fantastic, roomy site with full hookups and great cell signal through Verizon to allow us to work remotely while being in the splendid surroundings of north Georgia's splendor! All of the amenities that we made use of were very well kept up. All of the grounds were well maintained. All of the park employees were very kind and helpful whether it was upon check-in to the park or subsequent stops into the visitors center for firewood or souvenirs. We will definitely be planning a trip back in the future!

We purchased firewood from the visitor center but you can also purchase from camp host. Currently it's $6 a bundle and they keep it in a cute little outhouse looking storage building lol. It is a very clean, well maintained and quiet (while we were there) campground. If you are even slightly considering staying here, just go ahead and book it. It's an amazing campground surrounded by an equally amazing State Park.

Sites 4,5,6,8,9,11,13 are brand new pull throughs with full hookups. Being they are new, there is no tree cover. It was too windy to extend our awning so we used our canopy for shade. They had to re-number the sites that were added, so any YouTube videos or reviews prior to 2023 do not have accurate site #'s. It was quiet and peaceful, the hiking is awesome! The views are breathtaking. The staff are nice and campground hosts are on the ball. We thoroughly enjoyed our fall break there and will definitely be back!

All new water/electric/dump at each site, leveled with gravel, and most are extremely large. Great trees and good distance from your neighbors in the first 20+ sites (although all trees removed in the pull-throughs). Super clean wash facilities. Pleasantly quiet, a trailhead for the impressive West Rim Loop Trail starts in the campground. Highly recommended.

We stayed here at the end of July / beginning of August in 2023. I had reserved site #8 in the West Rim online - oh pretty! Look at the trees! Well, the campground has been completely renovated and as of today (8-13-23) the map online is still outdated. When they renovated the CG, the removed ALL of the trees in the center section. Sites 5, 6, 8, 9, 11, 13 & 14 are COMPLETELY without any trees or any shade. We politely referred to this section as "the frying pan". It was brutal during the day. The wonderful host, Jimmy suggested we call the office to request to move, but we would have had to move a couple of times or be right next to the ongoing construction of the second bathhouse up the hill. Hmmmm heat or noise? So we just stayed in #8. The sites on the edges of the CG are BEAUTIFUL and really nicely done! Hindsite, if you wish to be able to walk to the trails, the East Rim CG might be better.
The pros: awesome camphosts, spotless, new bathhouse & laundry (inexpensive laundry too). Beautiful park.
Cons: website outdated and 'the frying pan".
We did have FHU which was unexpected.
Still loved it though!
I want to give the site quality 5 stars, because most of the sites are 5 stars, but our site was not what I expected. And apparently, I took zero photos...

Campsites there are very uniquely designed: raised above the ground with a separate patio area. Our site (55) was water and electric only. The only but was the poor internet and cellular reception. Showers are very close and clean. But the best part of the campground was its amazing location right on the top of the canyon. I took the dogs for an evening walk and boom! – I found myself on the overlook trail, enjoying the incredible views. The waterfall trails were also right under the campground. No hiking needed – just lots of stairs and steps. We have a video about this campground on our YouTube channel – Summertime RV Rovers. It is called “RVing Through Georgia and Alabama – Part 2.

The sites are well kept and in nice shape. Plenty of room at each site. The only problem I had with the site itself was, the firepits are in weird places. Ours was behind our neighbor's camper. Very uncomfortable setting! We could hear each other's conversations. Same thing on the other side. Theirs was behind us. We had to keep our shades drawn. Not all the campsites were set up the same, so just make sure if a fun firepit night is in your forecast, check out the online pictures first.
The bathrooms were kept clean and worked well. The water was hot and there was good pressure.
There were 2 camp hosts in our little circle, and we never seen either one of them. Although, the park was always clean and well maintained.
We did receive some local TV stations, but they faded in and out. As far as internet, it was nonexistent.
It rained on and off the whole time we were there, so it did put a damper on things and could have been affecting the TV situation. It did get a bit muddy on the trails, so unfortunately, we did not get to do any except for the nearby rim one. And it was very slippery.
We were able to get out one day on our ebikes to the Tennessee Riverwalk. That was great!!!! Anyone who wants a great bike ride should try it!!!

I travelled here with a 35’ 5th wheel, long bed pickup and parked in site #58, an E/W, BI site for $28/night including all the fees, taxes and a 20% senior discount. Roads were asphalt and sites were gravel. Navigating the East Rim campground was easy until trying to back into this site. I had to curve back uphill while trying to avoid hitting a tree on one side, get through a ditch on the other and not slip down a steep embankment. It took three tries before I could get the geometry of that move right. The uphill was such that I actually spun out the tires on one side of my truck for a moment or two. The site also had a side-to-side slope and needed two boards under my wheels to get level. All that being said, once I was in the site it was lovely. It backed up to the canyon and had a great patio area. The sites look like they have been refurbished recently with new fencing around the patio and the site had 50A service (some earlier reviews said the CG only had 30A service.) The bathhouse was clean, but there were no shower curtains between the shower and the little changing area so your stuff might get wet. I only had 1 bar LTE and that was shaky. The connection up by the Visitor’s Center was much better and they had wifi there. I could also pull in about 30 OTA channels. The West Rim CG was under construction. I was able to ride my bike around it and it appeared that it would be friendlier to big rigs in terms of having longer sites that would be easier to get into. It is further back in the park and there is one big hill to go up and down to get there. If I come back I would try to get into site 56. #57 would be okay but the entry would be a bit trickier. In the West Rim, I thought sites 8, 9, 13, 17, 22, 23, 24, 25, 29, 39, 41, and 42 would be good picks. The hiking was wonderful with several waterfalls flowing. I definitely would come back here.

Add Cloudland Canyon to your camping list! There are 2 RV/tent loops with the East Rim being the closest to hiking trails and epic views and the West Rim quieter and tucked back into the woods. There is also a tent only area, primitive campsites, cabins, yurts, and group sites so you’re sure to find exactly what you need! The RV/tent sites have water, electric, fire pits, grills, and picnic tables. Each loop has a dump station plus gray water drains situated around for dishwater etc. They have just renovated and enlarged the sites and added a brand new bathhouse (with heat!) and laundry. If you get bored looking at the incredible canyon and waterfalls, there are many trails (some easy and paved, some strenuous), caving, disc golf, tons of biking trails, and Chattanooga is about 30 minutes away. Go see Ruby Falls and Rock City! We consistently had 2 bars on both ATT and T-Mobile for keeping up with March Madness however the tower is on the next mountain over so it depends on your line of sight.
