Cliffside FamCamp is a diamond in the rough. Beautiful beach side campground with gorgeous landscaping. We went to the RV wash on base before coming into the campground. I called from there to get our site number since there is not a place to park the RV while checking in. She gave us our site number, we came into our loop and parked and from there, I went to check-in to the office. They let us know that that evening they were having a hamburger cookout and everyone was invited. That evening we walked the beach and saw that they had several outdoor games going on just west of the campground. Great place to unwind... wish we could have stayed longer.
Starlink gave us 10 down and 6 up. We only had 1 bar on our Verizon phones but had 54 down/1 up. With the cell antenna, we received 4 bars (25/3). On AT&T with the cell antenna, we also had 4 bars (17/2).

This campground is perfect. Short and sweet? The grounds and facilities are great. The staff is even better. We just sold our house and moved in our RV. We just sold our house and moved in our RV. We have been here since the beginning of November and are scheduled to stay until May, then we have to leave for 14 days and then back for 30 days, if there are spaces available.
Active duty can reserved 12 months out, everyone else can reserve 6 months out. Fair enough.
Full hookups, 50/30/20 amps on the pedestal. The water tastes great.
The restrooms, showers and laundry rooms are spotless.
This is an Air Station with fighter jets, surveillance planes and helicopters. It isn't noise, It is Awesomeness to watch.
The We-Boost gives us 5 bars with T-Mobile
Starlink has a clear view of the sky. Works great here

This place is right on the beach with FHU RV sites, tent sites, yurts, and RVs to rent. As you’d expect from a military campground the bathrooms & showers are immaculate. The laundry is FREE (yay for not having to find quarters!). But the real gem is the grounds. The camp hosts seem to work round the clock to tend to the beautiful gardens. I imagine in the spring when the grass is green this place is extra special.
It was pretty quiet when we were here (besides the jets flying overhead), but the neighbors were quiet. There seem to be a few people who are stationed here and live here, then the majority of the other sites were people staying for a few weeks like us, with of course some people coming in for just a few days. Weekends get busier with more tent campers and more people coming to the beach.
If you can get a waterfront site that’s a must but the other sites aren’t bad either. We were in the south loop which would be my preference as it’s slightly closer to the open areas and beach access, but again the other loop would be almost as nice.
There is a fitness loop that goes into the trees and then back into base which the kids and I would ride our bikes to the nice playground just over the hill.
Yes the jets can be annoying (especially if you work from the road like we do) but they don’t seem to fly on Sundays, holidays, or when it’s too foggy or overnight.
This was the perfect spot to slow down and enjoy the PNW beach life for a couple weeks.
