We actually visited the park before our stay, we have a 45 ft Toyhauler that can be a tight fit in many state parks especially with trees. We were going to stay in Poplar Point, however the road into these spots drops down off to your right and they are pretty tight spots. They do have 50amp and full hookups. We ended up switching to site 36 in North Creek, 30 amp full hookups. We stayed five wonderful days. Weekends are busier, weekdays are quiet and better fishing. North creek sites are easier to get into for those with taller longer trailers. Site 43 is the best for anyone with a Toyhauler or longer trailer. All sites are back in, no pull throughs.
Great park and wonderful park staff. We will definitely be back. Cell Service is not great, 1 Bar so be prepared. You can get better service in places but it’s 2 bars at best.

This is a beautiful state park with lots of hiking trails and a lovely small lake. But if you come with your rv, be prepared to undertake significant leveling at most sites, particularly side to side. I would suggest avoiding the Keyhole campsites altogether.

We stayed in the Keyhole area on a Thursday, and had the entire area to ourselves until dusk, when one other camper arrived. We chose this area of the park because it's the furthest away from the noisy lime plant near the park entrance. It was pretty quiet there: we could just barely hear the lime plant when outside, couldn't hear it all when inside our trailer. (We camped here in a tent once, and had a hard time sleeping due to the noise from the plant.)
We paid $20 for a site with water and 30 amp service; this is a discounted rate with the Texas Parks pass. Several areas of the park have full hookups.
Overall, it's a pleasant, clean, well-run little park, heavily forested with cedar trees. A nice place to escape the urban sprawl of the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

We were touring and this was a good park, quiet and clean but a bit to far to Dallas/ Fort Worth.
We used our Texas pass for the cheap price

This is a good state park for a fun little getaway from the city or for a short stay while en route to another destination. We stayed here one night in our travel trailer at the beginning of a long road trip. The grounds are immaculately kept and the rest rooms in the RV campground were very clean. There are hiking (nothing spectacular) and biking trails and a nice little swimming spot with a grassy area for sunning or picnicking. To light sleepers, a problem may be early morning truck noise from a nearby quarry but this did not bother us at all. Another small problem was the opening to the sewer drain was up pretty high off the ground in relation to our rig so we had to improvise a bit to get our black tank to drain properly. It worked out OK and we were here just 1 night anyway. Yes, I would stay here again if passing through this part of the state.

Not open to the lake, but still a nice view, and lots of trees around. Very quiet campground. Friendly people; I met all my neighbors, which I loved. Sprint cell phone coverage ranged from LTE to None, with it being more toward none or 3G mostly.

The spaces were very roomy. Popular point has a little cell phone service. North Creek loop had almost no cell phone service. The swimming area was not crowded at all.

AT&T 1 bar LTE but I was still able to stream Netflix and Sling TV all weekend using my phone’s internet.
I would definitely recommend this park for day trips or overnight!

Hiked the Coyote Trail, White Tail Trail, and a little of the Fossil Ridge Trail. Tried to rent a double kayak but solar powered vending machine wasn’t working. Will try again next trip! Only downside is the “background noise” from the nearby lime plant. Guess I got used to it because it wasn’t too distracting.
