We've stayed here before. Love the pull thrus. Makes it an easy stop out of Florida before you go through Atlanta. Weekends can be very busy, but we were here on a Tuesday, and only us and one other camper in the whole area we were in,, We always plug in our surge protector to get a read before we park and unhitch. Let's face it, at the end of the day it's not alway easy. So we got a good read, unhitched, slides out, water connected. I'm inside, and the light on the micro is not blinking.... A/C doesn't come on. "Honey, are we plugged in?" "Yes, good to go!" No we were not. Had to move.
Moved over and reset. Walked to the lake, watched the sunset and some fisherman. At 7:30 in the morning, with only one other camper near us, the maintenance crew started. In the site next to us. The whole park was available, but right next to us?
We spoke with management when we left, they made it right. Just be aware that sometimes parks have bad days too. Guess we were at Claystone Park Campground that day. We'll try it one more time, just to see what happens.

We were initially booked at the Arrowhead CG but all the available large sites were severely sloped so they let us move to a Claystone CG site about 15min on the north side of Lake Tobesofkee. They put us in site 20 which I think is a buddy site with 21. However, there is only 1 water spigot between the two sites. We would’ve not been able to hookup to any water if the occupant in 21 hadn’t left the next morning. Other than that, nice park, great wooded and lake views. Park is a bit hilly but I didnt see many badly sloped campsites. Sites are close together with no natural barriers but I didnt feel cramped. Only sites 40-45 have sewer hookup and are closest to lake. Lots of kids. Lots of dogs and everybody kept them on a leash. Saw ranger security during frequent rounds in his truck. Love the butterfly habitat/garden!

We camped here at the end of February and it was very peaceful and quiet. Convenient to 475. Pretty view of lake but on a slight hill. Most level sites with the best views are 24-26.

We've stayed here several times. Park is well kept, campsites overlook Lake Tobesofkee, most sites are water and electric only (these are on the side of the hill so somewhat unlevel) about 6 sites have sewer (poured pad and level). Very pretty views of the lake. We had a nice big pad that once we were in was flat but rather steep getting there- was a bit worried about scraping the tailpipe on our RV. Very tight to turn around.
May be better for 5th wheels and trailers.
There was quite a lot of road noise.
Spotty connectivity

After a long day on the road (two closures and severe storms) this was a beautiful place to land.
Staff made sure we could access our site even though we were pulling in super late.
Definitely want to come back for a stay not just a stop over.

Check in was friendly and accommodating, ease in and out for our 45' rig, we had a beautiful concrete pad close to the lake, very clean grounds, spare campers on this week day in late February, we'd definitely come to this park again.

Few campers in the middle of the week. Sites are very close to each other, but being off-season, wed plenty of privacy. This is a pull thru site, however, in order to get the flat area you need to loop around and park from the other side, opposite from the site number entrance. A little bit noisy at night due to road traffic.

What a shame there’s no pride or care given to the cleanliness & upkeep. This could be an absolute gem if given the time of day. We arrived at 3pm (2pm check in) to find our site had not been cleaned, fire pit was full of trash. At first just assumed it had been a late check out and called the office to send someone over. They did clean up after I insisted but continued to tell me they just drive by sites and didn’t notice anything. As the day went on and I continued to look around woods next to site I found lots of trash including a package of raw meat. I informed the office the next day but no one ever came back around. I noticed at least half a dozen other sites same thing with trash piled in fire pits. We checked in on a Monday and noticed they never came to clean up anything till Friday right before the weekend reservations. About half dozen fhu pull thrus were the only sites decent since they mostly seemed to have transient one or two nighters coming and going. The bathroom & laundry room same thing barely acceptable. What a great location near the interstate & lake tobesofkee. It goes to show not having a camp host and just municipal employees that there is no love given to this campground. What a shame it has so much potential. Just clean it up and do some maintenance.
