Clay Fair RV Park

Did not meet our needs. We were to far from attractions and beaches. Campground is like a parking lot. Nothing to offer but sleep. This was all stated up front but we did not realize it would be that dull. It would be good for someone working in the area needing a cheep place with nothing to offer but lodging. You need to be sure to thoroughly read the contract up front before signing it. They mean every word. The speed limit is 5 mph. If you violate any rules they can eject you and do not owe you and reimbursement. You only option is to say "Yes Sir" when spoken to. The Host advised me that any disagreement and he would get the police and 5 deputies to make me leave. At first I thought he was joking but I resolved to just say, "Yes Sir" I do not think it is ever appropriate to approach someone with that attitude as soon as they enter the gate. By the contract, once you arrive you will not be reimbursed if you leave or are thrown out for a first offense speeding violation of 5 MPH. In 30 years RV camping I have never been that disappointed with an RV park. I prefer Happy Campers.

Called late after hours. Debbie answered and had a spot for us. Must register and pay online first & you will get a confirmation email right away. Will need license plate (& if towing need camper license # too). They will ask for your “RV” # first, make and model then your tow vehicle #, make & model. Have your driver’s license # and credit card ready. If driving..pull over cause it will take about a minute to fill in info. The cost is $35/night. You have gated entrance, security lights at night, full hookups (including sewer), 2 bathhouses (have to enter with a key code #) and they include outdoor dog wash stations, a fenced in dog run with waste bags and container to put in, 2 dumpsters by entrance gate and host on site. You do not have fire pits or picnic tables as this is not a long term stay facility. You will here road noise but didn’t bother us. We definitely would stay again. Felt very safe and Debbie (the host) was wonderful!!!!

Not much to brag about, short spots, long hookups at back of rigs. Open field with ditch running between camper and hookups, couldn’t put back jacks down because of ditch but it is a fairground so didn’t expect much. It is gated and hosts are very nice. Only stayed because family lives in the same town and only other options were in St Augustine.

This is a great place for short visits. This is a no frills, very clean, gated, and professionally managed campground. Host's communication is top notch. There are no fire rings or picnic tables, but there are restrooms and dog wash stations. It has an off-leash dog park just for camp guests, and plenty of acreage to walk and exercise since it is located on the county fairgrounds. There's no buffer between sites and positioning of some hookups on the opposite side may require hose/electrical extentions, but the hosts make a point of spacing campers where they can. An overall great spot for short stopovers.
