15 or 20 varied sites on a hill walking distance to the ultra-cool downtown of Nelson. I say varied because there are some tent only (size and access), some small sites with electric that could hold a van, a few longer trailer sites with water/elec and four or five full service sites perched on a wall overlooking the road. See the campground map on the web site or posted in pics, but basically, probably a good idea to just call them and see what might work for you.
Dump station right in the middle of the CG, common kitchen area with passable bathrooms and coin laundry. Wi-Fi is provided by Shaw and is only 500mb free but LTE was *screamin’” despite only showing 2 bars.
Note: We’d planned to stay 5 nights but were (apologetically) informed after 1 that the guy who checked us is didn’t realized the campground was closing for the season the next day. Not a huge prob. Refund issued and we moved about 5 mins outside of town to Cool Waters RV Park (still right on the road but at least with more space and some
grass for the kids to play on).
Still, if you’re wanting to walk into downtown Nelson (did I mention it’s awesome - Co-op grocery, restaurants, coffee shops, gear stores, book stores, kid stores), the city CG location can’t be beat.
Adventures of Dave and Ann would stay here again

“Close to City Center and Waterfront Park”

This is a city owned campground close to the center of Nelson. It is about a 15 minute walk either to the city center or the very nice waterfront park. There are only a few sites for larger rigs so reservations would be a good idea, especially in summer. Restrooms were satisfactory. There is a camp kitchen which we used for dish washing. Our site was electric only (30 amp), but a few sites also had water at the site. There is a dump point in the campground. Our site required some leveling with the blocks we carry. The fee for our site was $35 Canadian per night. We had 2 bars of LTE from a Canadian cell provider which we were able to use at no extra cost under our Verizon plan. The campground also had Wifi which was slow but adequate for email.
Paul would stay here again
