We left our rig, locked up, for a good 6 plus hours while going to the caves one day and driving around to other places another day. This is off the highway a bit, and there were 4 other rigs there while we were. Felt quite safe.

Yes, just like the answer from TXATVGuy. It's a dirt parking lot with no amenities. Install a good coupler lock if towing a trailer.

I was alone and a felt very safe. It is basically a parking lot so not a lot of thrills but great place to stay the night before or after visiting the caverns.

We felt very safe leaving our MH. The lot was full of rigs when we were there. So it might depend on how full it is. We were gone several times for 6-8 hrs at a time.

We left ours there while visiting both National Parks. Be sure to check the weather forecast, as we had winds of over 50 MPH while we were there. We pointed the nose of the 5th wheel into the anticipated wind direction, pulled in the slides, and put the jacks down, with no issues.

We left ours when we were there in February with no problems, but we also don't leave much out side, just some chairs

We were there a few years and didn't experience any problems. We left our trailer on multiple days to visit Carlsbad, Carlsbad Caverns, and Guadalupe Peak NP. There were several other people there while we were there, and we all seemed to come and go at different times.

No problems! We stayed there with our 5th wheel for 3 nights at the end of February this year, going to the caverns and Guadalupe NP. There were always about 10 rigs there. It was great. The only negative was one couple had a flat tire on their truck one day and a flat on their trailer the next day. Don't know why... JK

Yes it is safe there. Plus there are always people around during the day. Some will stay a few days. Some overnight only. When we were there we found people very friendly.

Pretty much anyone staying there is leaving their rig to visit those places. We had solar panels out (locked) and no problem. As long as you leave your rig locked and valuables out of sight, you should have no problem. It’s close enough and visible to the road vandalism shouldn’t be an issue, either.
