We stayed in site 406 (pull through). We learned if we come back sites 200’s on top of the hill with the pool look better and more quiet. Easy back-ins up there. Better planned out spaces. Some of those sites are close to another but some have a lot of space. I’ll opt for the space next time. Site 406 is tight with others. 405 would be a good one with the large area on the camp side.
Water park is nice but we feel should be included to campers for the price we paid. We loved the water park but could be costly for a family of 4. To me loving water parks i feel 20.00 maybe 24.00 per person is reasonable. We got in for 20.00 each because of a camp special. But this should be included. More outsiders come to the water park than campers do. The outsiders can pay to access the camp pools which i don’t know how i feel about that. Pools were never crowded. The pools at the rental houses across the street were very nice and maintained. You can tell they spend more time with up keep over there.
The drive into the park with a 40’ fifth wheel is tight tight! Once through the check in gate there needs to be some organized parking. Golf carts parked willy nilly and a car made it tough to get by. We were inches i mean serious inches as we navigated up the main road by the water park building and store. The golf carts and cars made it tough to get the right angle. But we made it work as we inched along. We were with 4 other 5th wheels and all had the same issue. Even pulling in from the main road was tight. I’ll be interested as leaving it looks tight too.
Their going through a rebrand here to the great escapes so they are improving. The water park is nice but i have to note you sign a wavier to enter and the reason the life guards are kids and some half pay attention so be sure to pat attention to your kids. The houses across the street you can get to through a tunnel which is neat and have full access to their pools and beaches. You get free canoes and kayaks and a floating peddle trike. Its a major walk so golf carts are recommended. Golf carts are kind of steeply priced.
This currently is not a year round rv park. They are adding on to make it year round and adding more camp spaces.
They also have small cabins to rent. Currently google maps does not show all their changes. They took camp spaces to make the cabin rentals.
Internet is decent not the fastest but very doable.
All in all its a fun place but not something we as a couple would come back to every year. Maybe every few years.

Fantastic resort with lots for all to do, kids ages 14,11,10 and they didn’t want to leave. We stayed in the “new” RV section and I was not thrilled with our interior pull thru spot, I would recommend and exterior back in site. Fantastic resort with lots for all to do, kids ages 14,11,10 and they didn’t want to leave. We stayed in the “new” RV section and I was not thrilled with our interior pull thru spot, I would recommend and exterior back in site. Because it is new, there is very little shade and it was blinding in the mornings. The shady spots are beautiful. The older section has some sites with gorgeous views of the lake. The water park was awesome. I can’t believe how “inexpensive” it is for all it has to offer. My kids did the water park, putt putt, and ropes course ALL DAY. Then there was a movie in the outdoor view area that evening. So fun. The lake has kayaks for use and nice shaded beach chairs. Also indoor basket ball. So much to keep the kids busy.
I’d highly recommend reserving a golf cart or bring your own. The lake and pools aren't really in walking distance (for some🤣) and parking is tough on the lake area. We didn’t reserve one but the owners put us on the waiting list.
All in all, it was a fun weekend getaway. Very clean and well Kept.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! There are several campsites that have a beautiful view of Weiss Lake. Highly recommend getting one of those sites if possible. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! There are several campsites that have a beautiful view of Weiss Lake. Highly recommend getting one of those sites if possible. The campsite was very clean and very quiet but I think we were technically there in the off-season. They have great amenities for kids including a small nearby putt putt course and ropes courses. You also have access to the pools and amenities at the Chestnut Bay Resort which is directly across the street and easily accessed through an underground tunnel. They’re also building a small waterpark within walking distance of the campsite. We also thoroughly enjoyed Cherokee Rock Village which is about a 20 minute drive. Great place for hiking and rock-climbing. The only negative is that we had some bees that kept coming around so may want to bring something to deter them.
