We do not watch TV so not sure about TV connections. We tow a utility trailer, which needed to be left at a parking lot by the entrance. Beaverdam Park is in Gloucester and was very nice for hiking, mountain biking, and kayaking

Wonderful location. Spacious sites. No TV signal, not even one channel. Leveling the RV was challenging.

We love this campground and have been here a few different times. Unfortunately one of the pools has been out of commission making the other super crowded at times. One downside is if you are parked in E66- great spot but 2 spots down the seasonal neighbor has a train horn at the end of their spot, which lands about 20 ft from the bedroom of our RV. The button to the horn is available to anyone passing by so you have that going off throughout the day up until 10:59pm one night. It is very hard to relax in your spot with the startling horn being blasted all throughout the day. These neighbors also play their music really loud during the weekends, starting at 8:30 am. When asked to turn it down so we wouldn't have to listen to it inside with our air and own music on we were told they do it every weekend and everyone loves it. They were gracious enough to turn it down slightly. This cannot be a new things, as the campground must be aware of the train horn and how loud it is. Other than that the site was great and peaceful.
The small lake is a bit stinky and has snapping turtles so be careful when Kayaking there. The river is nice however there were jellyfish when we were out on the water so be careful if you choose to swim in it or take your kayak out on the water.
Staff has always been friendly and there are some good amenities.

Stayed here for 4 nights as part of our Thousand Trails membership. Full hookups but only 30amp power. We got a great site A49 by the river. Nobody was staying in the cabins next to us and we only had 1 other camper near us.
The campground is a typical Thousand Trails park. You drive around until you find a spot and then let them know where you parked. The roads are mostly dirt except for the main entry road. So in the rain (it rained 3 days while we were there) it can get a bit muddy. But we still rode our bikes around and found a fun trail back in the woods.
The closest Walmart is about 25 minutes away although there is a Food Lion about 15 minutes away. The roads are typical narrow Virginia roads with no shoulder and pretty windy through the trees. But drive a bit slower when you're towing and you'll be fine.
The resort is divided into sections (A, B, C, D, E, etc.) and only a few of the sections are full 50amp hookups. The rest are 30amp, water, sewer. Unfortunately the best sites along the river are all 30amp. We still opted for a smaller 30amp site just for the views because the sunset on the river is pretty magical.

We visited the location in williamsburg a day or so before so the comparison is real fresh.
While this dude is out in the boonies :) it not that far from a couple of food lion (grocery stores) est 15 mins or so.
First impression when driving in .. when you turn off the main road you go back to the front gate THere are several actually farmed fields on both side for a bit then you get to just woods. The membership specialist building is on the right and then you come to the ranger station/ gate house.
The lady we interacted with was nice and bit taken when we drove up in car with no parking pass..
We indicated it was just to do a drive through to see the park if OK.. will the MS was called to do tour but not available at this time so we opened the gate and let us in.. (this is mid oct so the place was not super busy)
They have a propane LP refill station on the left (did not get price) and noticed the first sites on the left and was like WOW.. the site are nice and flat for the most part, good distance between them and all the hook up seem to be working..
We drove around the area looking at the different sites. Some are located right on the lake/river front which as nice. We did notice a LOT of annual unit sitting on sites. (75-80% or so) We did not inquire as to the amount of vacant spaces for members but we did see some 5-10 more or less. We did see some paper on the elec with dates indicating the member and leave date..
THere is a nice boat ramp and lots of boats stored on the property around plus a lot of RVs.
They do have 2 large swimming pools,, one for kids and one for adults, not sure is that is actually done but shown on map that way. also all kinds of stuff for kids and adults. If you have you own kayaks you can launch them at the ramp and they do have some boats on one of the ponds as well.
EDIT: In reading the info brochure with map I see something about a $10 per car charge for guest. (added picture of handout)
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
my comparison between the two places.. Williamsburg and Chesapeake Bay.
The main difference is the williamsburg 1000 trail location which is smaller, the road and sites tighter as well.. Plus there is a lot more unlevel spots. Some of the sites are quite short it seemed. On first impression,, I like the CB TT location better. (i have not camped in either this is just a drive through commentary. )
One thing Williamsburg has going for it is location.. its 10 min from a large town and CB is 25 mins away.

When you show up, you get to pick your own spot. Many of them are along the lake. This is one of the quietest parks I've been to. (Almost) everyone is very respectful of the quiet and the beauty.

We stopped here because this is part of our Thousand Trails Zone Pass membership. We needed to fill a couple of days before our two week stay in Williamsburg and booked here for 4 days. This is a year round campground with a lot of people who enjoy outdoor activities. This might be one of the most active campgrounds with people outside having campfires and hanging out. People were friendly and the noise quieted down at quiet time. This was the first campground we stayed at where we checked in at the front gate and then drove around and picked our spot. That was an interesting experience.
We were there in early October so the pool was closed. Roads are a little narrow but drivable with many potholes. The front gate is constantly manned. They have a good playground, courts, and arcade. It is right on the Piankatank River and has other fishing ponds on the grounds. It is very close to the Historic Triangle and we went to Yorktown Battlefield.
We would stay here again but I would bring a kayak and some fishing equipment.
