Overall Rating
Concrete table and picnic area provided plenty of space. A couple locations for tents. The short road is a little rough coming in and heard a Prius bottom out.

Overall nice campground although some of the sites are quite small. Campground is open seasonally, it is also near a creek that may flood. (Check with ranger station first about which sites are open) Campground has multiple pit toilets, trash, fire rings, and picnic tables. With great excitement we made the sharp turn into this NF campground, to find a locked gate. The NF website states that it is open year round, however at the top left of their website just below the name the ‘Area Status’ is listed, Open or Closed. Make sure to check the website for all Gila NF campgrounds before heading out. From... more
With great excitement we made the sharp turn into this NF campground, to find a locked gate. The NF website states that it is open year round, however at the top left of their website just below the name the ‘Area Status’ is listed, Open or Closed. Make sure to check the website for all Gila NF campgrounds before heading out.
From the gate we could see minimally wooded sites below road grade, with a vault toilet. Turning might be a problem with a bigger rig, we had to back out the access road and onto the shoulder of rt 15.
