Located off highway 77, tucked into the back of the large city park, is a small and modest campground. We nabbed the site right at the front for a full month. In Nebraska, full hookups are not common, so it was a wonderful surprise to have city water and sewer hookups. It's quiet, most of the rigs being from workers in town to work on the pipeline, and no fire rings, though there were picnic tables. The sweat bees decided to keep us company, followed by the mosquitoes. The numerous parks were wonderful to have, and everything seemed to be in good condition, though the sand areas were not well maintained and washed away with lots of anthills. We have t-mobile and couldn't manage to get a connection above "poor", so I utilized the local library for work.
Overall, a nice, quiet stay!

We walked around the campground/park. They have 2-3 fitness locations to work out and stretch. three-four playgrounds, a tennis court, frisbee golf, and a very smelly pond. It smells like sewage water. I did enjoy the many benches surrounding the pond. Nothing like seeing a sunset and taking in the smelly air. It's a quiet location. I give it a 3.5/5 the pond took my breath away.

Full hookups, concrete sites, well spaced, trees, surrounded by a city park. What’s not to like?

While visiting Beatrice, NE we made camp at the Chautauqua Park Campground which for $20/night turned out to be really nice as they have full hookups and a HUGE park to enjoy while still being close to the shopping in town.

Arrived on Sunday afternoon to find the campground completely full. Talked to a gentleman staying there and he told us that it was full due to workers staying full-time and there is very seldom any availability. Although the campground has signs stating a 14 day limit, it isn’t enforced. The area is very nice if you could find a spot

We loved this campground, located in the town of Beatrice NE (approximately 12,000 people). It was quiet, clean, pretty, and relaxing. About 2/3 of the sites are back-ins and 1/3 are curved pull-throughs (very nice). Our site (#11) had full hook-ups (30 amp and 50 amp) and as we drove around the oval looking for a site, we noticed that... more

About 2/3 of the sites are back-ins and 1/3 are curved pull-throughs (very nice). Our site (#11) had full hook-ups (30 amp and 50 amp) and as we drove around the oval looking for a site, we noticed that most (if not all) had full hook-ups. The pay envelopes, next to the metal pay drop box, stated $18/night. The pull-through sites have signs posted “Short Term Camp Site. 14 day Maximum Stay. City of Beatrice Parks Dept. 402-228-5248”. The pay envelopes state “30 day maximum stay”; I’m guessing this pertains to the back-in sites. We hope to come back here again for an even longer stay.

Beautifully kept park with about 20 campsites on concrete pads. Full hook ups for 18 dollars.. Easy access. Very quiet and peaceful and only 4 min drive to the Beatrice Bakery for those who are a fan of fruitcake.

It's a big city park so there were places to run, play disc golf and other activities. Some of the sites are pull-offs (like #11) and some are back-ins. Lots of grass all around. Its patrolled on a regular basis so always felt safe.
Dump station is located on site. There are showers and restroom, very dated and not real clean when I was there.
The park entrance is fairly easy to find off the main street in Beatrice. However, there are only a few campground signs, but basically follow the park road towards the back of the park and look for other RVs.
I didn't hook up to city water but if you do WATCH OUT FOR WATER PRESSURE! It is very high.
