The only downside is the after dark until 2 AM if not later ass hats doing donuts coming very close to all the RVs in my vehicle just tearing up the beach which is sad even with complaints, no patrols in the area. It’s too bad it’s such a beautiful spot I do pay attention to the tide tables.
Also, please carry on carry out. There’s a lot of debris left over from the day beaches and the crazy thing is there are garbage cans every 20 to 30 feet just pure laziness and disgusting how these gorgeous beaches are abused so if you there and you’re walking your dog, carry a bag I’ll pick up a few of us did every morning and afternoon while we walked our dogs and please carry and carry out leave no trace

Just a big parking lot at the end of the road. There are porta potties, the restroom building is boarded up. Covered picnic tables, garbage cans. No signs allowing or disallowing camping, but no one bothered us. Sign says beach permit required, there was no place to get one, no one came to see if we had one. Only traffic is locals a... more

Only traffic is locals and fishermen going to the northern end of the spit. Small RV park on the other side of the canal, other than that no other businesses this side of the bridge.
LOTS of bird activity!
Construction on the new bridge nearly done. The bridge is up, puzzling why so enormous a construction project here where there is NOTHING. Peaceful place to spend the night.

Nothing more than a big parking lot, but right on the beach on one side and a shipping canal across the road on the other side. Clean restrooms and running water at 2 picnic tables/shelters. We spoke to a man who left here this morning a week long stay and he said that with the bridge construction (see photos) it can get pretty noisy. We were here on a weekend and didn't hear any construction noise.
Much quieter in our experience than the place a 1/2 mile southwest of here.
