Common water spigots if you need more water and a free dump station on the way out of the park. We enjoyed the stay and would definitely come again.

Here on a Friday in September. Not crowded at all for tent campers. Nice lake and camp sites. Only complaint is water and rest rooms are really spread out and there aren’t many. Showers are in the RV section…go figure that one! Good place to stay between Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Quiet..

As a campground this is without a doubt one of the least maintained and unclean “State” parks I have ever seen. Camp sites would be nice if maintained and cleaned. Many sites are occupied by full-time residents judging by the amount of “stuff” collecting around the sites, much covered in tarps and much scattered around.
There is water available at hydrants placed throughout the park but are tough to access because most have several hoses connected to them.
I would NOT stay here again.

Went to a campground in the back of the park. Wasn't bothered by anyone at all. Stayed about 3 nights and 4 days. Dogs loved the swimming. That was end of January and early February 2023

Only five sites available on a Saturday in January. Filled with long term residents. Our area was “trashy”. Water hookups are shared and several people had water hoses stretched across the street that we had to drive over. There were no available water spigots in our area because long term residents had their hoses hooked up to them. Narrow roads and deteriorating pads. We walked through the full hookup area and it was much nicer. Nice lake view from our site. Attendant at check-in was very nice.

What a difference! They have taken out/trimmed severely 80% of the overgrown trees that made spots horrible to back a 38’ motorhome into and now the lakeside spots (at least 101-115) are temporarily closed because of tree trimming and wait for it….re-leveling!!!! I see piles of asphalt material and dirt! I couldn’t be happier as I wasn’t able to park in the pull thru lakeside spots since they were uneven before and my coach didn’t like them!
Now I will be coming for a lakeside spot everytime!
I prefer Central State well over 15th street campground (Scissortail Campground) because everytime I go to 15th (Scissortail Campground) I get ate alive from ticks! At central state, I’ve never had one tick I’ve found on me or my nephews!!

Our site was a pull through and had a lot of small trees which would fill in and block lake view perhaps.
Bathroom close to us was so/so. Preferred my RV after checking them out. Free dump station. Shared water spigots, which we didn't use as it would have been 200 feet of hose!
Miles of paved places to walk, bike, run and some trails in the woods to explore. Nice park and location.
Does look like there are some long term residents there. Our spot was quiet as it was at the beginning of the campground. Site 108 would have been great, but next to a large group so we stayed away.
Went to the riverfront in OK city to walk around in the wind. Then went to downtown Edmond. Cute little town.
Would stay again.

This place would be a 4/5 if not for figuring out a spot to set up. They don’t accept reservations in advance. The rental board is a great idea but it appears it is not updated. All of the hook up sites except 2 had a reserved sticker but the reality is there were way more available. It’s best to drive through, pick a spot and then go back to pay. This is our second experience with this. Only the pull through sites in the center have full hook ups. All the other sites in the outside circle have power. Some sites are 100 feet plus from the closest water spigot. We used 140 feet of hose to connect. There was a lot of trash throughout. This is less about management and more about the campers. Trash bins are provided and are close to each unit. You can tell they are maintained daily. The park is beautiful and most of the sites have a view of the water. Sites are relatively level and there are several trails for mountain biking, cycling, running and hiking. Close to a shopping center and food if needed. This park lies in the path of a large Air Force base so if you don’t like plane noise, probably want to pick another place.
