Dissappointing to say the least. We didn't get a map upon arrival and the place is a catacomb so go online and get one or ask before you attempt to get a spot. Don't plan on setting out the patio furniture. RV sites are sardine sized. If it wasn't for the camping limit at the nearest state park I would have not stayed here. On th... more
Dissappointing to say the least. We didn't get a map upon arrival and the place is a catacomb so go online and get one or ask before you attempt to get a spot. Don't plan on setting out the patio furniture. RV sites are sardine sized. If it wasn't for the camping limit at the nearest state park I would have not stayed here. On the plus side, they are closer to town and have some trails.

We came during the salmon run, which made our stay a bit less enjoyable. The fishing was fun -- there's a great place to fish on the river right in the park -- and Soldotna has every amenity, but it was super crowded. There are tons of sites here (even a generous overflow area), so take some time to drive around and scout one out. W... more
We came during the salmon run, which made our stay a bit less enjoyable. The fishing was fun -- there's a great place to fish on the river right in the park -- and Soldotna has every amenity, but it was super crowded.
There are tons of sites here (even a generous overflow area), so take some time to drive around and scout one out. We found good internet all over the park, and we were conveniently close to many of the city's stores and restaurants.
There are no hookups, but they do have a dump station. The fee is quite high, though, so everyone just uses the free dump and water fill-up at the Fred Meyer in town. Be prepared for a line!

“Overcharge For Dump Station”

Tried to find a dump station in Soldotna, and drove in this park to find they charge $20 to dump. Ended up dumping at Three Bears on the way north in Sterling. Much nicer facility and it was $15.
