“Stunning sites right on Slocan Lake”

Okay, we didn’t actually stay overnight here since it had officially closed for the season (late October), but we spent a long afternoon with kids playing on the lakeside and taking in the amazing views of Valhalla Provincial Park. There is also a pretty Japanese garden right beside it commemorating Japanese Canadians interred in New Denver during WWII.
Campground is also connected to a nice city park with playground and big field for the kids. We could have stayed in this beautiful spot for days if it had been open.
Adventures of Dave and Ann would stay here again

This campground is really two campgrounds. One is in the trees, which would be good if it was hot, and has power and water hookups. The other part is next to the lake and has no hookups and not much shade. We stayed next to the lake and found it quite nice. The spots are not really far apart from one another and there was a fellow camper who thought we'd like to hear his music but it wasn't too bad. The campground is part of the small city park so there is a ball field and picnic tables one could use. There are two bath houses but we didn't use them. There is also a sani-dump that costs $5 to use.
The nice thing about this park is it's proximaty to the Japanese interment centre display and a nice little Japanese garden. The garden is free to look at but the interment centre costs $9. We also walked into the little town of New Denver and had coffee at one of the funky cafes.
Gord would stay here again
