Absolutely. Emerald Isle Beach is just a few miles. This town has very nice public beach access with plenty of parking. Hope this helps.

There are a number of chain restaurants in Jacksonville. They are of average chain restaurant quality. There is Beach access at Onslow County.

The campground is not on the beach per se. You have to go over to Emerald Isle and access the beach there. There are public access points, though, where you can park. It's been a while since I was there, and I don't know about the restaurants. They will be crowded. I think the Big Oak diner survived the recent hurricanes. If you've never had a shrimp burger, try one!

Sorry for the prior comment, I was thinking cedar island RV resort which isn't very good. There are plenty of restaurants within a 15-30 minute drive. There is public beach access but get there early as it gets very full.
