This was my first rv trip & first time boondocking and thankfully site 4 was open (the only pull thru) & it was really close to the lake! There was plenty of room for my 29 foot rig. It was a tad bit unlevel but not too bad. The stars at night are so beautiful. People there were friendly. The bathrooms aren’t too great but what can you expect from a vault toilet 😅 There was some litter scattered around the site and the lake & our next door neighbor had his generator on past 10 but he was pretty far so it was more like a soft humming in the background. Overall I would definitely come back here again & stay longer! Unfortunately I didn’t have enough solar panels to charge my generator so we went to stay at lake Whitney state park otherwise I would’ve stayed the full 14 days!

There are 21 sites counting the park host. At the time of my arrival on January 27th, 2020, sites 7-21 were closed off. A gate restricted vehicle access to that end of the park. Perhaps it is only open during the season even if the park is open. Four sites have gravel pads and site #4 is a pull thru. All the other sites are grass. You can stay here free for 14 days! I found a site that allowed the sun to charge my panels.
Two handicap access his & her vault toilets are located at each end of the park. One in the aforementioned closed off area. They aren’t convenient to the campsites except for site 3 so plan ahead. The only trash receptacles are two dumpsters. One at the front gate and one near the boat ramp.
Sites 3-6 have water hookups within 40’ of the picnic table/shelter. Site 5 has the handle broken so you’ll need pliers to open the spigot. The closed sites have one centrally located hydrant.
I had 56% signal strength on my TOGO Roadlink with AT&T (2 of 4 bars) and 3 bars with Verizon.
The camp host drove by about 30 minutes after I had arrived wearing a green safety vest on an electric bicycle. He waved but did not stop.
Mark would stay here again
