Has anyone car-camped here? Does anyone know if there are restrictions against car camping? I’ve run into this before.

Super disappointed with this campground. Multiple people recommended it. When we arrived the ranger that checked us in was not wearing a mask. Since they are required I was surprised by this. Not to mention I had to sign a bunch of stuff and wait for him with all his paperwork and things. I’ve camped at a lot of sites over this pandemic and this was by far the worst check in experience. Arrived at our site, and I’m reading through the rules: “Please Keep your campground free from confetti, glitter, water balloons.” WHO does this?! Yep, our site was covered in glitter. This placed was trashed out. Super disappointed in the people camping here. Will not be back.

We have been camping here for many years. It was great to return this year and encounter camp hosts like Alan and Roe who made the experience so much more relaxing as camping is intended. They were attentive and helpful. It was wonderful to have camp hosts like them. We will be returning soon.

We stayed here 5/29-6/1 and absolutely loved it & will come back again. The campground is shaded, which is nice during the day when it's high 90s. The campground itself was very clean, the showers weren't open but the bathrooms were clean and didn't smell. The camp hosts drove the area multiple times a day, specifically checking the bathrooms. They have quiet time 10pm to 6am and surprisingly everyone was very respectful of those hours. The best part the creek access that comes with your camp stay. Perfect activity for our two year old son.

Nice place to camp (maybe with a tent) but not too great from an RV with Trailer standpoint. If you plane to take your car off the trailer, you must put it back on when you return for the night. Only allowed two vehicles with tires touching ground or get $500 fine. A trailer counts as a vehicle.
Hardly any room to turn around or detach trailer and put aside. Maneuvering at site is extremely difficult due to where they place there boulders and signs.
The area fills up quickly with campfire smoke if no wind. The smell took a week to air out of the RV afterward. Roads connecting the sites are extremely rough for any vehicle.
Nice tall trees though and creek nearby. They also sell fire wood and have a small general store with reasonable pricing. Just be careful of their strict rules. Also, for some reason I couldn't figure out, they allow very little room to enter and leave the place at the gate.
No cell coverage unless you drive to Sedona.

Cave springs is nestled among tall trees adjacent to a charming creek that is great for cooling off on hot days and fishing (per some regulars they stock it with trout weekly).
The campground is huge with almost 100 sites total but with all the trees it doesn’t feel that way. 72 of the sites are first come first served- we arrived on a Tuesday and had about 25 to chose from but there was rain in the forecast and it was cooler- by Friday the campground was completely full and in talking to people who come to this campground regularly they said starting in May you need to come Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday if you want hopes of getting a spot.
The campground has a camp store that has anything you could have possibly forgotten as well as ice, firewood and shower tokens. The first half of our stat fires were allowed and then fire ban went into effect before we left.
The scenary is gorgeous, it’s an easy place to spend a day sitting around or exploring from your campsite but it’s also only 20-25 minutes from Sedona and flagstaff.
The major downside is that there is no cell service as you are in a canyon and it’s about 15 minutes drive to cell service.
Also we did have both a bundle of firewood and a 15 foot dog tie out stolen from our campsite while we were out for the day.
It is mostly tent campers here and large rigs would not fit- but we had no problem finding a spot that would accommodate our 23 foot bus

About the only thing a I can say about this spot that I didn't like was the fact that, since you are in a fairly narrow canyon the road noise from SR89A is pretty hard to get away from.

This campsite is in the famous Oak Creek Canyon just north of Sedona, Arizona. Campground is next to Oak Creek. There is swimming and fishing in the Creek. Site A18 is in a loop that excepts advance reservations and is in first row of sites from the Creek. On the other side of the Creek is a 2 lane highway, so there was some highway noise.
The area is densely forested, very green with Oak trees and Lodge Pole Pines. The site was spacious, but the parking area at the site was very tight for a 30 foot class A motor home. I believe they have a 30 foot limit. The site was level, there are no hookups and no dump station or water fill (at least I didn't find one). There are showers and a small camp store.
If you go, approach the campground from the south from Sedona. I understand the same highway north of the campground going toward Flaggstaff has a lot so switch backs and kind of difficult in a large vehicle.
There was no cell service. Check in time of 2 pm is enforced.
