Cave CG is right by the highway, so there are traffic noises, including semis. But highway noise drops off at night. Also, though the CG was rather full, the campers were of the quiet variety. There are several sizes of sites to accommodate anyone and anything. My loop was mostly small sites, which got me away from the generator-using types.

Hat Creek runs along the back of the CG and the fishing looked good. Subway Cave lava tube is across the highway. It's a short bit of exploration, though the cave floor is lumpy, so watch your step.

My boosted phone was able to pull in one bar of 4G and two of 3G, but it was essentially useless for Internet. All sorts of connectivity problems.

Part of the CG was closed due to fallen trees.
