Traveling from Maine to Florida we decided to make this a stop along our route. Short drive off I-95. Very quiet mom and pop campground. We lost power due to the storm for about 10 hours. Frank was awesome in keeping us informed. We felt welcomed and will definitely make this a must stop along our winter travels. Full hook up, pull through site only $35!

Frank was super helpful! He made sure we had correct directions, some GPS directions send people else where. He and his wife were also so flexible with our arrival time. We appreciated them greeting us upon arrival and escorting us to our site and making sure we had all the proper attachments before they left us. They also helped us with directions to go get supper for the evening. The campsite was 11 miles South of Emporia and 11 miles North of Roanoke Rapids, which gave us lots of eating options. The site was pretty muddy when we had to set up as a thunderstorm had just rolled thru 30 minutes before we arrived, but there was a spigot right at our site to hose all our equipment off before we stored it. It was a small, quiet, resting in the woods kind of campground. The bathhouse was under construction during our stay. It required driving a couple miles down a kinda narrow road to get to and from the campground, but we didn't meet much traffic with camper in tow. This road also ran parallel to I-95 so it was nice to make forward progress on our long trip.
