I stayed back in summer ‘22. I am a travel nurse and booked Cascadia Park for three months for a assignment up in Maine. It was the only place available during the summer that would allow me to stay that long. I felt like that was very accommodating, but when I got there the campground was rundown, not kept up with, and the sites were very overgrown. I liked that I could run or bike to OOB. There was numerous abandoned campers. The facilities did not look welcoming. I did not even go into the bathrooms or wash a load of laundry there. The owners live at a house in the entrance of the campground and one walks laps keeping an eye on everything. At first they put me on a pull through site where there is numerous dead trees above me and during a storm one fell and dented my truck. When I complained, they said that’s what happens in the woods. I live in the woods and camp all the time so I’m aware trees do fall, but every site had dead trees above them. I can’t imagine if I was in a tent what would’ve happened. After that I moved to another site. In the middle of the night my power went out. I thought it was due to the wind, but when I went outside, the electrical hook up fried my plug. When I told the owners about it, they said I must’ve been running too many things and it was my fault. That was when I decided to leave.

We were surprised at all of the old campers and cars abandoned in the campground. Felt like the campground wasn’t in business. The bathroom sinks were outside and some stalls were closed. All in all, not sure why it’s listed on Campendium.

The road into the campground is very narrow, but there is not a lot of traffic. Most campers seem to be staying there for a long time, possibly year round. The road can be heard, but it is not annoying. We had a very level spot, no blocks needed. We had a full hookup spot.
Beware of ticks and mosquitos, but I am sure this will be the same in the surrounding campgrounds.
Nakisa at Viewfinders would stay here again
