We were there at the end of July 2020 and there was plenty of space. This is a big area and I feel that you won't have any problems finding a spot. It is scattered with small rocks so driving to the spot is a little bumpy but it is driveable just go slow. Be aware that there are bugs, not really mosquitoes but gnats that can be annoying. I do suggest getting there mid-week if possible so you get a spot before the weekend people. Hope this helps.

This should not be a problem if you go during the week. This is a popular site on weekends. Right now it is closed for re-construction. They are changing it to all designated sites and will not be able to camp in large groups like before. They told me to check back by the end of April to see when they will reopen. It will still be a 14 day disperse site. If you are a large rig I would go in first to see if any sites are available because the road use to be pretty rough going in. Hopefully this will change tho.
