Very generous of the Gaspe to provide this free overnight parking option for travelers. Thank you!
Entrance is unmarked but it is the dirt road immediately adjacent to the fire building (to the right or north side of the building). Entrance is noted by GPS coordinates.
Drive on in past the outdoor hockey rink and you will reach the parking area.
Surface is a bit lumpy in places so best to arrive before dark so you can see where you are driving.
I passed by during peak season in August and there was 1 other RVer there. They said it was not busy.
No garbage at the site that I noticed which is great! Be sure to keep this spot clean so it doesn't get shut down.
Spot extends farther back where there are also some picnic tables. Even though it is not on the ocean side, it still has some decent views.
Best of all, you can visit Forillon National Park during they day and come back here at night if you were unable to get a campsite in the park.
No Rogers coverage at all in Gaspesie so my AT&T did not work either as it roams on Rogers. I can't speak for the other carriers.
