We stayed here for 3 nights in early November of 2023. A bit wonky to get to and a weird entrance. The CG is on the opposite side of the lake from what I would assume is the day use area. Best to look on Google Earth before going. We had to drive basically through a neighborhood and make a sharp left to get in to the CG. We just went to our site and our name was on the post. The ranger came around later with our vehicle tag. The little store seems to be operated by volunteers so has limited hours. Some of the sites are really close to each other and a lot of them are not level. Our site was long enough, but we did have to level 2" or so on the passenger side and our front was up a bit. We did have a nice view of the lake! Sites are a bit "odd" with our picnic table kind of back towards the aft of our trailer. Our neighbors in site 66 were at a good angle from us, but we basically had a view of their sewer dump, firepit and table. Nice big grassy area that they keep mowed (mowed while we were there), beach was closed off (no lifeguard) and was hoping for water access for our Lab (who needed a rinse and would have been on a leash), but the sides of the lake were signed as "stay off slippery". Seems like a fantastic place for families with kids!

A very nice campground and a first time stay for us. A little off the beaten path but well worth a visit. Paved sites with full hook-ups and gravel sites with electric/water. Bath houses were well maintained and clean. Really good WiFi and cell service coverage. Staff (Rangers and front office ) were very helpful and nice. The relatively small Cane Creek Lake offers beautiful views and good fishing (so I was told). Some sites back to the lake with plenty of grassed area for dog walking. Campground also has nice hiking trails and playgrounds for kids. We camped from Sun (1/29) - Wed (2/1). Since it was off-season and mid-week, the campground was mostly empty and quiet. Just the way we like it. We will be returning.

This county park has more amenities than the state parks! Full hookups, paved roads, level sites, clean bathhouses, WIFI, multiple playgrounds, and a beautiful lake. There is more that is seasonal. This has got to be a hard place to get into in the summer, especially since they have a whole section set aside for long-termers who appear to have permanent setups. I don't agree with allowing people to monopolize a relatively small campground Iike that, but I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Several weeks prior to getting to the campground we had already called and made reservation and talked with staff in reference to our rig size. They gave us our site (9) and said we would have no problem. Full hookups and 50 amps. Once we arrived and looked at the site (9) we knew there was no way of fitting and asked to be moved. The staff was great. They gave us a list of what was available and let us walk around and pick what we wanted. There were not much available that would fit or that was level. It was the weekend. So we picked a gravel site and backed in (110). Campsite was so unlevel that it took us an hour just to level but we did it. Next morning (Sunday) several campers had left and we asked the staff again if we could move. Once again they were great. This gave us another list and let us choice. This time we were able to pick a paved back in site next to the lake (65). If you do decide to come here get a paved site. They are the better sites. Sunsets were amazing and the fishing was great. The bathhouses needs updating but were ok. There were a couple of Sheriff's Deputies staying in the campground so we felt safe and secure plus there were always staff driving around and checking on things.

We backed and onto an asphalt pad with full hookup, it has been glorious. We have two children with us and there are lots of children for them to play with. Campgrounds are clean and quiet. On the day side, there are many activities to get into and you cant beat $5 a person for all day canoe or paddleboats or kayak. The thing I would like to see while here are adventure activities for the children to participate in, and that maybe because of covid. We highly recommend this campground, in fact we would love to buy an annual spot.

Our site was was very unlevel, as are many of the interior sites and almost all of the first come first serve sites. If you can, definitely go for the full hookup lakeside sites. They are much more level and many are paved.

No alcohol allowed in the Park, but it appears that no campers followed that rule and were mostly discrete drinkers.
ENJOY!

What a strange little park. We stayed here to visit friends in Charlotte as the options there are limited. The park is hard to get to as you have to go on some narrow, residential roads several of which had low hanging tree limbs. The park itself has a very narrow loop road and it's one way in and out. You enter and have to go all the way around the loop to get to the office. The office is only open when it is time for check-in to start. I can't imagine the line and resulting traffic jam when they are busy. Of course, our site was all the way around the loop again. We blocked traffic while we backed into our site. The site itself was very long and pretty level but close to neighbors. The utilities worked fine. The main draw is the lake and beach. Lots and lots of local families use this park on the weekends. There appear to be some long term residents although there is supposed to be a two week maximum. A little too “campy” and out of the way for us. We would not stay here again. We stayed here in a motorhome.
