This dump station is very clean and everyone that stops here is helping to keep it clean so it stays in place. It's one of the few that is in this entire area of the gorge so - PLEASE - keep the hose wrapped after you've finished using it, wash any and all waste out of the basin, throw the trash in the provided trash can and don't let anything touch the ground like your dirty rubber gloves.
Membership to Sam's is anywhere from $30'ish dollars and up. I paid for 3 years so it saves me money. You may need to present your card to the staff, they do random checks so, have it ready for them to view and check. DO NOT BLOCK THE DRIVEWAYS of Camping World's side entrances going behind their shop - they get mad! Stay to the side and leave an opening. Don't be a trouble maker and we'll get to keep this awesome dump station.
The water is drinkable and comes out fast and high pressure. There is also a flush button to use after you've dumped your tank in their septic dump. No commercial vehicles are allowed to dump, privately owned coaches only.
You can park in front of the Camping world during the day but no where on the street at night. Cops do patrol. You used to be able to stay in the Wal-mart parking lot next to this location but they stopped that and now have security patrols due to homeless people ruining that 100%. It was a great place to stay but filth and drug behavior ruins everything and it ruined that too. That said, it's nice to be able to walk to Walmart or drive and several restaurants are around Walmart and Camping world, fuel and 1 block from I-84 freeway entrances W or E bound.

The entrance road is posted all the way on both sides with no parking signs. Very nice of Camping World not to close and lock the gates to this lot. Dog rating....the grass and bushes were previously well used and contained groovy snarfs.

It is VERY hard to find a place to boondock in Portland. They have restrictive, archaic attitudes toward homeless people, and these attitudes consequentially mean that anyone seeking to overnight in their motorhome, fifth wheel, van, trailer, etc, even if it is fancy and brand new, is out of luck. The police have been quoted as saying, "we can't tell the if you are homeless or a tourist, so no one is allowed to park here."
When we arrived in Oregon, it was Spring, 2018. There was still deep snow in a quarter of the state. We quickly learned it was expensive to stay in the state parks, and many of the state and national parks were we hoped to stay or thought we could stay ended up being blocked by residual damage from last year's fires/mudslides. Then I remembered our Good Sam membership and that we passed a Camping World.
Parking is allowed overnight. You will need to stay connected, and this is not the sort of place I recommend putting out your slides and having a picnic. Others have suggested that you arrive at the end of the business day and leave around the time they open in the morning (8am M-Sa, 10am Su). We followed this suggestion with good success. Of course, if you need to shop or have work done, certainly come earlier or stay later.
There are two power sources in the parking lot. We were not able to use either as people were parked in front of them. There is a dump station in the parking lot. I believe there is water to assist with the dump station, but I didn't see any potable water.
