We stayed one night and unfortunately had an RV that needed attention. The kind owners had a technician arrive to help me and another guest needing assistance. They saved my vacation.

I travelled here with a 35’ 5th wheel, long bed pickup and parked in site #217, a FHU, PT site for $37/night with all fees and a Good Sam discount. This campground was a combination of full time, seasonal and temporary guests. The road is asphalt or gravel and sites were gravel and grass. It was easy to navigate except for one turn where I had to swing out wide to avoid a big rock. The site was pretty level (needed one board.) There were some trees for shade and hookups were easy to reach. At one point the voltage dropped pretty low and my surge protector kicked me off - there were lots of AC units running. Sites had a nice amount of space around them, not tight like many private campgrounds. The staff was really nice. The laundry was $2Canadian/wash and $.25C for 4 minutes of dryer time – one of the cheapest laundries I have seen. The pool was open, but I didn’t use it. The campground is right next to the highway so the noise was very noticeable. I had a hard time getting to sleep as a result which accounts for the lower rating. Connectivity: 2 bars 5G with Verizon International, 101 mbps download speed, wifi was an extra charge so I didn’t use it, and there was a handful of OTA channels. I didn’t use the restroom or the pool. There is a ferry that takes you right across the river to the old city. It was $5US for a round trip. Go early in the day to get parking at the terminal and avoid the crowds in the city. Don’t do the river tour if you want to see Montmoresy Falls – you don’t get a good view from the boat. I loved walking the streets of Old Quebec. I would definitely stay here again.

There is a pool, dog park, bathhouse (I never used this) and laundry(excellent). And, their Wi-Fi actually works! I was able to work with very few issues. It is a great location for site seeing and they have a free shuttle to the ferry to Quebec City. It’s only negative can also be seen as a positive. It is easy on and off Rt 20, but that also comes with road noise. Even with the windows open I rarely thought about it. But road noise is there. We were there to work and site see, not hang out at the camper, so Camping Transit was perfect for us

This was a great place to stay. We will definitely stay here again. Special for 3 nights in May only $99.

I won't be back. This place is for people who are looking to live here. Long term area is what you see in the pictures, not my spot in the back corner on top of the sewer. Roc, the owner, is very nice, however the place is not up to par in all areas. I boondock majority of the time, but do enjoy a campground when I want a pool, wifi, need to do laundry, and want close proximity to a city. This place advertised all of that and yet I didn't get to enjoy any of it. Pool is only open when a lifeguard is on duty. You have to pay for the wifi and it only connects to one device. Laundry only uses super cold water, which stained most of my things. And the free shuttle only departs at 9am and must make a reservation by 7pm the night before. Also, no dogs or bikes are allowed on the shuttle, yet allowed on the ferry. Such strict rules I felt like I was in a schoolyard treated as a child, not a paying adult. I was at site 19, in the very far back, and my site was super super narrow and low trees. So narrow, I was on top of my neighbors hookup that the smell traveled into my rig. My dog had no room to be comfortable and I could hear the couple converse inside their rig. The low trees scratched my roof and awnings on the slide outs. I couldn't even use my big awning, yet the low trees scratched that too. My picnic table was in the back of the site, up against the dog park and the main sewer well. Constant smell. I could not enjoy a meal outside. I asked Roc for a refund for my 2 out of the 4 days I booked, and he refused. Said he would try to sell my spot but never spoke to me about it again. For being so busy, he refused to help me out and give my spot to somone else. I even heard his wife turn down people saying the campground was too full. They could have resold my spot. Nice people, but very cheap people. They don't even have a shovel in the dog park. I stayed the nights, however I felt very uncomfortable and trapped as there is nothing nearby. No food, no trails, just the noisy highway. My dog got bit by a spider and he isn't feeling well enough for me to drive and find a new place. I have to take him to the vet Monday, so I am itching to get out of here asap. It was a waste of money and my time, and will now cost me more in repairs to my awning ans vet bills. I do not suggest this place to people traveling through, find something were their advertisement is true, and you won't be squeezed in a narrow spot that causes damage and won't be trapped in the park because the only way to leave is at 9am and you must be back by 4pm. Who can enjoy a city from 10am-3pm?

The campground has everything you need plus so much more that many others don't have. They have tried to think of everything and work hard to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Be sure to take the FREE shuttle down to the ferry and go explore old Quebec City. Absolutely a wonderful; experience.
Sure, this isn't a perfect campground and to be honest I don't think those exist. They are located next to the highway and there is highway noise. Know that going in and adjust your expectations. There are sometimes trade-offs in life.
For me, the noise wasn't all that bad and all the positives of my stay made it all worthwhile. Rock the owner was amazing and be sure to try his Transit brew beer. I enjoyed it very much.

Owners were welcoming but we arrived after a rainy day and all the transients sites were ankle deep in water. By the time we set up it was happy hour and we had wet feet so didn’t get to look around much. Facilities appeared to be satisfactory (we use our on-board so can’t give a first hand assessment) and lots of stuff for kids to be busy with.
WiFi ($3.50) worked good for our FaceTime calls. Hook ups were easy to access.

Camping Transit is a very nice campground if you want to be conveniently located near Old Quebec City and the other wonderful things in this part of the province. It is easy to find and the owners help you get set up. The owner, Rock (I think that is his name) speaks English so you don't need to worry if you don't speak French. He is around the campground every day if you need any assistance. The seasonal campers are set up together near the office, pool, playground, and activity center. They maintain and decorate their sites nicely and have some lovely gardens. Daily and weekly sites are located in the back and these sites are a little closer together than the seasonals. You are also set up right beside the Trans Canada Highway 20, so you will have pretty constant traffic noise (the higher the site number, the closer you are to the highway). Since I spent most of my time away from my RV, I didn't mind the highway noise or the closeness of the sites but thought you should know if this kind of thing bothers you. The owners provide a free shuttle to the Levis ferry. When I was here in September, the shuttle left once in the morning and came back at two different times during the usual "rush hour". You need to decide the night before that you want the shuttle; it isn't something you can just jump on at the last minute. I used my hotspot on my iPhone with ATT roaming using Rogers and had great speeds - Latency 45 ms, download 40 Mbps, upload 20 Mbps. I have a Verizon MiFi, but I had no service in Canada with my plan. Since I was here off-season, I was able to use Passport America to get the 50% discount, and you have to pay in cash. At the price I paid, the campground was perfect. I don't think I would like it if I'd paid the full price.
