Camp Sites are Large but There Is Very Little Shade. Afternoon Sun Is Hot But If You Get A Site That Is (passenger Side) Towards The Lake, Your Camper Should Shade You From The Afternoon Sun. No Water! There Is A Dump Station With Portable Water But The Hose Has A Weird Head That You Cannot Connect A Hose To or connect it directly to your RV And Therefore You Cannot Fill Your Tanks. Closes Place With Water Is 30 Minutes Away. If you’re ok with trucking 5 Gal water containers to your RV than go for it! Doubt I Would Stay Here Again.

We stayed here for just under a week in late June. The campground was pretty quiet the whole time we were there including on the weekend when it was mostly full. The sites are quite large with a good amount of spacing between them. There is no brush or anything else between sites so there's no real privacy. There is a nice shelter over the picnic tables that provide shelter. The campground is down a several mile dirt road but the quality of the road was pretty good. The campground is right on the river with some nice views but it's also in the middle of nowhere. There is a restaurant across the river at the marina which also has some grocery items, but otherwise the closest is in Platte which is also the location of the closest gas station. The dump station at the campground lacks a threaded hose connection for the fresh and rinse water so you'll need a water bandit to use it. The water flow on the freshwater is painfully slow. We decided to use the dump station across the river at the Snake Creek Recreation area as it had a threaded hose connection and better flow. The Verizon service at the campground indicated 1-2 bars but a lot of the time the data was unusable. It was better during the week but during the weekend when the campground was full it was essentially non-functional. We were able to receive no over the air TV channels. There is not a lot of light pollution in the area so it is good for astrophotography. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here. The campground was nice and quiet and the area was pretty and there are not a lot of people around.

“Great showers!”

We would have loved to have stayed the night. The campground is down a gravel/dirt road, just keep going and you’ll get to the campground. We saw some big rigs and trailers at the campground so no worries on accessibility - it might be different though after a rain.

We stayed at Buryanek Rec area the last 2 days of July 2017 on our way to Wall, SD. Access is a long gravel road but it was smooth and shouldn't be a problem for any size rig. It was dry when we stayed here so I cannot comment on road conditions if it were rainy. We were able to work from this location using our AT&T hotspot. This is a beautiful lake on the Missouri river. It was quite busy with locals enjoying boating on the lake but noise was not an issue. These sites are electric only but there is a dump station and potable water at the entrance. Beware, the entrance water is not a threaded hose so a water thief is required. We did find a regular water spigot across the park by the restrooms that we could use our water hose on. We really enjoyed our stay, although short, and would definitely stay here again.
JonesN2Travel would stay here again
