A serene location enclosed by pines and aspens. Very quiet mid-week - looked like the weekend would be a different story. Only a mile off the highway, so very easy access. Well-maintained vault toilets and a nice camp host.

Buffalo Springs is a very pretty campground. We were in site #4 and it was a little difficult to get our 20 foot travel trailer backed into the space because our truck is a long bed and there were some wood posts placed in an inconvenient spot right across from the driveway. There are other sites that would have been much easier to get into but once we got situated and level we sure weren't going to move. The campground is very quiet during the day and night, at least on weekdays. The vaulted toilets are relatively nice for vaulted toilets. There is plenty to do nearby including driving across the Weston Pass Road to Leadville. We enjoyed our stay very much and would not hesitate to camp here again. Next time we will book a different site. #2 looked great. The best one is probably #18. It's a pull through with a great view of the meadow below. #4 is good if you are in a tent or maybe a small popup.

There can be high winds in the area but the grove of aspen and pine the campground is situated in block the worst of it.
Max RV length is 30ft. Water via handpump. Dry camping.
We were able to get 1 bar of mostly unusable AT&T (no booster).
