A serene location enclosed by pines and aspens. Very quiet mid-week - looked like the weekend would be a different story. Only a mile off the highway, so very easy access. Well-maintained vault toilets and a nice camp host.

Buffalo Springs is a very pretty campground. We were in site #4 and it was a little difficult to get our 20 foot travel trailer backed into the space because our truck is a long bed and there were some wood posts placed in an inconvenient spot right across from the driveway. Not far off Hwy 285. Close to Antero Reservoir to the east and several trail heads to the west. Not much to do at the campground itself. The campground is quiet, clean and peaceful if a bit dusty and dry. There can be high winds in the area but the grove of aspen and pine the campground is situated in block the worst of it.
