Great Boondocking site with easy access from I70. Road in and out is easy and wide. Fantastic location for trail riding. Very spread out with sites big enough for any rig or group. Always looking for an easy BLM free site off I-70 when traveling west from Denver. About a 6.5 hour drive from Denver to Buckhorn Draw. Lots of room for rigs of all sizes and mostly level. Good spot. Camped here on a Sunday evening, we were the only ones there.

Easy access to the interstate. Frontage road is washboarded but not a problem unless your in a rush. Found a perfect level spot and enjoyed walking the dogs and an incredible sunset. Planning on stopping anytime I’m traveling through again.

Driving across country in our Skoolie and we were able to snake our way back into the camp area to a secluded spot. The sites are pretty flat and easy to get to, the interstate is close but not bothersome. Good spot.

Short trip up the road from I70 gets you into a gigantic area with a multitude of spots for any size rig. No road noise and Juniper trees create privacy and windbreaks. We have a 38’ ft class A so it isn’t good east to find good spots to boondock. We exited i70 and went right and there was a gravel spot that was prett level. There was a lot of others spots but further down which smaller rigs could access. Good cell phone and starlink worked well here. Make sure to have supplies and plenty of gas. No ... more

Good cell phone and starlink worked well here. Make sure to have supplies and plenty of gas. No services around. Weather was great while we were here. Great place for sure.

Pretty quiet and desolate place. Don’t go off the road to far the sand gets soft. Not much views but you're very hidden. There were some fire rings about but I went in past them.

There were countless options of places to stay and so we were able to park without any close neighbors! You can hear some highway noise but it's really not bad at all. Lots of wood around to make a fire in one of the rings. Lots of level space to just be and breathe!

Easy access to/from highway, but far away enough so that the road noise is minimal (though, in the distance, someone had a generator running all night). We arrived after dark and had no problem navigating the area and finding a nice site. Very convenient for a quick overnight, and decent cell signal.
