Road down was longish but well paved. Think we went to far and ended up paying $10 but it well worth it!

It is as said in other review: easy to get to national parks. Dubois is a great little town, and the National Museum of Military Vehicles is world class. I am hesitant to even write a review for this boondocking location. It is an amazing gem and I would hate for anyone to find out about it. We arrived on Sunday 08/08/2021 and stayed until Thursday 08/12/2021. There were on average 4 vehicles/campers in the dispersed area, including ourselves. It was so peaceful! Nearby Brooks Lake is beautiful and there are hiking trails nearby, including part of the CDT. If you come here be sure to take the East road in as the West road is recommended for 4 wheel drive, high clearance vehicles only. I did drive it with my truck and I would not want to take anything with less ground clearance than that down that road. I started to call this camping area my Mountain home as it is located at a little over 9,000 feet of elevation, near the continental divide. It has great access to both Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Park. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The views are amazing!!

Made a stop on the way to Grand Teton. We drove this way last year and was completely awestruck by this location so I found this site to spend the night while getting in late. Pictures don’t do it justice. So quiet and peaceful.

This was one of the most beautiful campgrounds I’ve stayed in! There were views of the lake and the rock walls that surround it all around, and lots of wildflowers in July. It was a couple-of-minutes walk down to a boat launch and trail head (the trail called Jade Lakes Loop was absolutely stunning). The road had about 15 campsites and only 2 were taken when I was there on a weeknight. Make sure to drive on the gravel road leading from the east and not from the west. On my first attempt heading from Yellowstone I almost got my car stuck on the road leading to it from the west.

We got lucky and found an open site but most seem to be occupied long term by giant 5th wheel campers who are hanging around for a week or more. Beautiful, remote.

The nice thing about this area is that the sites are pretty widely separated. There are no facilities such as toilets. We had no cell signal.

Please be extremely careful at Brooks Lake. There have been serious problems with grizzly bears in this area. Check with the US Forest Service.
